Came for a Dr's appt. Stayed around longer for the food. Magnificent place. Wonderful interior food was amazing. Tea was delightful. The server was so very kind and gracious. I'll be back. I'll be back.

10/10 Thai food with amazing service. We started with Thai tea which was very refreshing and flavorful. I got the Panang curry with chicken, which was a coconut curry with the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Great portion sizes & comfortable level of spice. I would highly recommend!!

Was ignored most of the time. Sat and waited for menus for over 5 minutes while they helped people that came in after us. We’re ready to order and every staff member looked passed us. We left never going back.

The food was okay, takeout service was nice, and the ambiance is cute and colorful, but we didn't feel it was worth paying 50% more than what we normally pay at our other Thai spots. The pad thai was also bone dry, no sauce at all. Not my fave.

Ordered carry out twice with curbside pick up. Both times I was told order wasn’t ready and there isn’t really a good spot to wait for curbside pickup. First time, I ended up with a ticket. This time I parked at the garage instead of waiting at the curb. I ordered pineapple fried rice with NO peanuts due to my daughter having a severe peanut allergy. I even wrote in the comments “No peanuts due to peanut allergy.” On the receipt, it says no peanuts three times and my fried rice still ended up with peanuts. Food isn’t bad but if you have an allergy you might end up with anaphylaxis from their neglect to read comments.

Takeout- Paid extra for shrimp in my Thai fried rice dish, but couldn't eat it as it was undercooked. Paid extra for the sunny side up egg, but it was so overcooked that the yolk was solid. Even if those were on point, I don't feel the dish would've been much better. Wife's drunken noodles were supposed to contain basil. There was none in it. Looking at all the great reviews, it seems maybe there's a consistency issue here. Perhaps today was an off day. A lot of quality Thai places around though.

What an exciting new addition to downtown Royal Oak! We stumbled upon Kacha while walking around and noticed that they had a Sunday buffet. I've only seen one other Thai buffet in my long professional foodie career and knew I had to give it a try! The fam and I perused the selections first before committing to the buffet. I was excited to see many classic dishes like pad Thai, pad seew, green and red curries, chicken satay, crying tiger beef, laab, egg rolls, and even desserts! Another welcome surprise was that freshly made papaya salad and Tom yum beef noodle soup was included in the price as well. Needless to say we were convinced to stay for the buffet. Now, to be truthful, I went in with tempered expectations, knowing that I would judge Kacha's buffet and takeout/dine-in experiences on completely different scales. There definitely are pluses and minuses to the buffet experience. I loved the wide selection of options in the buffet. You really got a well-rounded taste of all that Thai food has to offer! Noodle dishes, fried rice, and plenty of proteins including beef, chicken and shrimp dishes. The fresh papaya salad is a must; order one for the table unless you really want your own sizable bowl. The tom yum beef noodle that's included is massive as well! I'd order one per two people to share. The only thing I would work on is finding a way to keep the food warmer during service. The noodle dishes and especially the fried items suffered from being served colder than I'd like. The warmers just weren't doing their job. Other than that, I love this place! The food tasted very authentic, the staff was endlessly friendly and attentive, the decor is lively and enticing. And you know how they say you know a place is good when the locals of the ethnicity support the business? Kacha has that by way of customer and staff! You really do feel like you're in a true Thai restaurant! I'll be back for the takeout/dine-in experience for sure!
