This place has been our favorite for years. The soups are amazing— both are. Whenever my brother is in town, he goes through quarts of the chicken lemon rice. The pita is grilled there and delicious. My favorite is the tomato lentil (vegan too). Highly recommend!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Food looks like leftovers see pics, small portions, place is dirty and rude employees. I asked the cashier if the chicken was seasoned with paprika (due to allergies) her answered I don’t know I am not in the kitchen. Very disappointing.

This place used to be so good. We moved and haven't been back in several years, but tried it out after a trip to the zoo and it was so disappointing. The chicken was super dry and diced instead of sliced like it used to be which made it harder to eat because everything was falling out. The pita chips must have been in a warming drawer or under the lamp for a while, and we definitely got fries that had been through the frier at least twice already. The prices used to be high but the quality was good. Now it's totally unbalanced and not in a good way. My husband's lamb/beef was alright. The creamy greek dressing had been sitting out for a while and was broken. Old, oily pita bread that was starting to dry out on the edges instead of the good fluffy ones. The rice looked pretty crusty too so we skipped it. Zesty feta was the only thing that didn't let me down.In the stores defense, we were there at a slower time but still. Oh god and THE WAY YOU ORDER IS HORRIBLE. It was not set up for this. I could barely hear the poor girl behind the counter and likewise. Anxiety inducing and I'm not going back.

The dirtiest restaurant I've never seen in Michigan, from the entry doors & windows you will throw up, then you walk in side where the food at, again super dirty, don't even thing to sit down, chairs & tables are uncleanable, so sticky and dirty, the food ain't that good at all, health department must go there asap.

Horrible horrible! I don’t even know where to start with this. Went in craving a gyro and walked out with pita with A LOT OF ONIONS AMD TOMATOES WITH some chicken. And to top it off, I asked for extra tzatziki and it was literally just plain yogurt. Don’t even think it was Greek yogurt. Picture below. Just stay away, and go to a coney instead. Hahaha. Save your time and money and appetite.NEVER AGAIN AM I GOING HERE EVER AGAIN.

We've been fans of the Kalamata Greek Grill and were happy when they opened their Woodward Avenue location a few years ago. Since then, we've been there for lunch and for dinner, usually doing carry-out. And it's been a go-to place when family and friends are visiting. The Greek Salad is made fresh to order; their Greek salad dressing is really tasty! And the Gyro wrap made with lamb/beef is the best! Making yesterday's lunch the best restaurant meal I've had this week!!

I went in on a Sunday for a quick salad. I was disappointed to see the iceberg lettuce in a bin with brown spots at the prep station. The lettuce reminded me of a salad bar in the 70s. I got my tray and went to sit down. Every table surface had either little crumbs on it or an oily smear. Not one table had been wiped down. I removed the brown salad leaves to one side and ate what I could. The dirty table thing is an appetite killer so I was limited to eating for nutrition only like an inmate. The restaurant is off smelling. Like an olive farted. I may have caught them at an off time but I work in a restaurant and would be embarrassed to offer a client a table with crumbs on it.

Picked up a real Greek salad for lunch, delicious as usual. I was able to get 3 servings from the regular!!

My food was cold, and the place was disgusting! I ordered the gyro bowl with lamb, and the rice and lamb were both room temperature/cold. Was not impressed with the flavors (bland boring nothing special) but I wasn't going to review. Then I took my daughter to the bathroom. Both the mens and women's bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. (My husband tried the men's with her and it was worse than the women's).

As I long time customer of this establishment I came in to order a salad on 1/27/22 at 4:10 p.m. While the employee made my salad I saw a male employee next to the cash register place his index finger in his mouth. He used his finger in a circular motion inside of his mouth. When he removed his finger from his mouth he touched the register. When I went to pay for the food I politely told him to 'Go wash your hands now please as I seen you put your finger in your mouth'. The male employee walked into a hallway north of the register. The employee who made my salad walked to the register and asked me if there was a problem. I told her what I seen and she said that she did not see this as she was preparing my food. I paid for the food and asked to speak to the owner or manager. I spoke to a woman who identified herself as the manager. I told her what I seen. I told that the owners must have a camera pointed at the register and that would see exactly what I seen. She said she would talk to the employee. I asked to speak to the owner. She said that he was not there. I left stunned. I called and spoke to the manager again I gave her my phone number and asked to have the manager/owner call me immediately. I told her that I was concerned that this individual could/would have touched the food in the prep area. She told me that all employees that touch the food wear gloves. She told me that she spoke to the employee and asked what more I wanted done. I told her that I am not interested in how the ownership manages and enforces their internal business matters. My concern was for safety and health exposures of other customers. I stopped for gas and threw away my salad. I have photos of this. I made two other calls to the establishment to see if the manager or owner was contacted about my concern. I was told that I was harassing them and that the manager told her that I could call tomorrow or that someone would call me. I told her that I felt that the food should be removed and all the surfaces be disinfected. I am highly disappointed and will never be returning.

Clearly there is some sort of misunderstanding. Google said they would close at 3pm 1/22/2022 I made it to the restaurant at 2:25pm and the doors were locked. People were still in the restaurant. I do not live near here but wanted to patronize this restaurant because the food is good. oh well I'll give it another shot another time. just if you are going to close at a posted time stand by it. Ps the letter on the door said you would be closing at 3pm also.

Best soups. My favorite is the tomato lentil & my brother is obsessed with their chicken lemon rice. Mom says spinach pies were better than from any place in Greektown. Family favorite.
