Very nice family owned Chinese joint (I believe the actual name of the restaurant is Wok and Roll). The lady working the counter is always super friendly. Mongolian beef is top tier, and they give you a ton of food. I've never been disappointed.

Slow and rude service and lackluster food. The hit and sour soup was lukewarm and the consistency of glue. The Mongolian beef was bland and overcooked. The Hunan chicken was ordered hot but tasted sweet. We won't be back.

This should be 1 star, but I feel bad for the owner, who was super nice. There aren't any decent chinese food places around here, so I should've known better to be excited about this order. We dropped $45 for 3 people's meals + 2 soups. I was pretty disappointed in the price and food. ___Let's get to the point___ pros: 1. super close by 2. nice owner 3. full menu cons 1. Egg drop soup was so viscous/thick, but in a bad way. it was like biting into jello ): 2. Egg drop soup had about 1 cup of bubbles in it. I've never seen bubbles like this in a soup before, so that worried me. 3. Pork fried rice came in dry chunks.The pork was dry and old. (we paid extra for pork fried rice) 4. General tso, sesame chicken, garlic chicken - were ALL bland. I wish I just ate ramen at home. ___conclusion___ Not coming back.

Tonight was our first time ordering from here and it was AMAZING! The prices were great, the food was very good and the cashiers were super nice and very professional! We ordered general chicken, sesame chicken, vegetable fried rice, crab rangoon and an egg roll...all was very good. We will most definitely order from them from now on. Thank you, Taiwan Express for great service and food!

The best takeout Chinese around. Other places in Berkley and royal oak can't compare. Their egg rolls, orange chicken, Szechuan chicken, and fried rice are some of my favorites. Wait can be long and my order has been messed up once or twice, but it's a fair price with huge portions.
