First time having King Cove Sole (maybe hadn't been on menu in past) - - delicious sauce with a bit of crustiness on fish. Filled me right up! Also, somewhat less expensive than other choices - it was ALL GOOD!

Had a great waitress. Happy, enthusiastic, good sense of humour. She checked on us regularly and the meal arrived in a timely fashion. One thing now missing from the appetizer menu is the firecracker shrimp. Why they decided to take it off the menu is a real mystery. It seemed quite popular. We asked for it every time.

The food and service was excellent. It was a beautiful day for viewing the blue, blue water and sky and made our experience much more enjoyable. Our server was very attentive to our needs and should be commended.

Janine was working the front desk. She was so friendly, also she went above and beyond to help me. She's a rare person, that actually likes her job, has pride & integrity and a great worth ethic!! We will definitely be back!!

I brought my daughter for an Easter brunch with family and the food and service was awesome but shae our waitress deserves a huge shoutout and thank you my daughter is 4 adventurous and friendly and hit it off with shae right away who took it all in stride and was quickly her new best friend and showed her a mermaid castle, and taught her to bring drinks and dress a table as well as how to ring up a drink my daughter has been asking since to go visit her new friend which means we will definitely be backSo specifically thank you shae for being an amazing person and making our day you are patient, kind and amazing with kids!

Holy h3LL the breakfast buffet is back!If you can afford it, it’s 100% worth it.Also there’s a river view that doesn’t have a view of Canada’s “chemical valley” or w/eThe dinner is delicious, too... different setting but still greatBanana fosters (mic drop ?)

This was for Easter dinner, and it was a buffet. My wife and I ate, plus one drink for $115.00. The food was good, and there was a lot of options for sure... but... the price was kind of high in relationship to the quality of food. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We did not stay at the inn - only ate at the restaurant. The food was fantastic. Some of the best lobster bisque I have ever had. It can be pricey, but honestly given the quality this is not an issue. What keeps me from giving 5-stars was the constant sales pitches from our waitress. When we sat, we were waiting for 1 more. The waitress instructed me and my girlfriend to stand the drink menu up when we needed something "so that you guys aren't bothered and can take your time". We never actually stood it up, but were accosted at the table twice before our 3rd guest arrived. Once to check if we wanted food/drink (we did, but we weren't ready yet - hence why we didn't call her over), and another specifically to try to sell us a rewards membership. I understand the menu explanations/food upsell (and this type of interaction is common at upscale establishments), but the rewards membership thing made me feel like I was checking out at FYE in the mall.Overall I'd give it a thumbs up. Just...let me dine in peace and absolutely do not try to sell me a $25 membership at the table while I'm spending $200 to eat. It left a weird taste in my mouth (no pun intended) and felt like we were being pressured because we weren't ordering fast enough, though it had only been a few minutes.

If you are looking for consistency in food, and service and want to bring them to River Crab you can rest assured that you will be satisfied with your choice. Their service is always consistent and the food is always top drawer.

Nice place! Blast from the past for sure. I like retro architecture, so from that perspective, it's cool. Rooms have been updated and are clean. I'm sure in the summer it's a different vibe. Good place to hang your hat for 1 night. Personally, I wouldn't stay any more than that. That said, River Crab Restaurant was fantastic!!!

My wife and I have been super busy with life and decided we need a date night. We came here and WOW is all I can say. We were seated right by the window so we had a beautiful view. Our server, Angie, made our experience 1000/10!!! My wife and I have been in the restaurant industry before so our expectations are high. She blew it out of the water!! Angie recommended the special for my wife and the surf & turf with side scallops for me. Food was 1000/10! She recommended a bottle of white wine (which was delicious) and even brought me a sample of red for my steak!! How thoughtful! Dessert was straight flavor town!! We would come back to just to see Angie but having great dishes is a plus too! So many compliments to Angie and the cooks! 100% be back.Give Angie a raise though.. it’s hard to find good people.

That's a shame I have to rate both the restaurant and the hotel together. I just want to start by saying the restaurant was phenomenal. Great service and great food, bit on the pricey side but that's to be expected from elegant fine dining. What I'm not happy to write about is my hotel experience. We booked a room for our anniversary and honestly we almost left. Paid nearly $200 after taxes and I could have gotten a better room at a motel 6. We showed up and the room was 58° so we had to get dinner while it warmed up, we went to put our leftovers in the fridge and the last guests leftovers were still in the fridge, after a long day we wanted to clean up but decided not to take a shower because there was mold throughout the shower stall, didn't sit on the couch because it looked like there was love stains on it, close the bathroom door for privacy and noticed it looked like someone punched a hole through the door before and it was cheaply covered up, the drywall is coming apart and there's mold on the walls. We had such great expectations and I feel like we were let down on what was supposed to be a special night. Had we not checked in late last night we probably would have went somewhere else. We were up and left 7a.m... I shared pictures of my experience but they aren't linked to this for some reason
