Food was decent but the service was terrible. The waitress was not writing anything down, and would walk away after we told her one or two items. We would have to like try and tell her things before she ran away from us. We had a group of 5, ordering drinks for a birthday, and the waitress and bartender did not give two craps about us. Wouldn’t give us a drink menu at ALL. Multiple times we had to go to the bar to ask for things and get our watered down drinks that had been sitting. One time she wouldn’t even give us the drinks at the bar because she didn’t know if they were ours? We were the only group they had at the time….Waitress would chit chat with others very loudly and it seemed like we were more annoying to them, instead of being treated like customers who were spending’s couple hundred dollars for their subpar service. It’s overpriced for what you get. Go somewhere else. Also the Marriott in general there is awful. They were treating all the guests like friends and buddies except us. You can’t leave any reviews for the hotel (wonder why) probably because the rooms were dirty and had someone’s hairs all over the beds and room. The pool was filthy and left us feeling slimy from afterwards, no hot tub, and kids were running rampant in there with zero supervision. Just go somewhere else lol.

You would think that with these prices that someone would acknowledged our presence… nope… after standing around for a few minutes we left … sad that we wasted all this time to come here inside of a hotel for food

The service here is horrible , they won't answer the phone and when they do the customer service is horrible . A couple nice girls but there were two who's names I will be getting and reporting to corporate. When I finally got my food and took it back to eat , my salmon was still pink (way uncooked ) and my wings left me sicker then could be . Had to cancels meetings next day

When in to place an order and was told that they stop taking orders after 9:40pm. We came in at the same time as another pair and they were able to be served. We are traveling and unfamiliar with the area and didn’t feel welcomed.

The food was excellent! The atmosphere was scary you would expect. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable. But the worst part is the service. We were there several evenings for dinner. They were slow, inattentive, and not eager to help. They also refused to serve people in the courtyard - wouldve been an extra 15 or 20 steps. I was surprised to experience such a lackadaisical attitude at a Marriott.

Worked with my food allergies and I had a good dinner without Al having to leave the hotel after being on a plane all day

Not the best place initially upon my sitting at the bar the staff was rude and neglected to even greet me. There was someone sitting there before as there was a mess of slop on the bar. After asking for a menu, the bartender tossed the menu in the bar slop splashing all over my shirt. I immediately departed.

Visiting Detroit and stayed at the Marriott Southfield. I had dinner at this restaurant which is in the hotel. I need to qualify this because this is the only reason I ate at this restaurant is because of the convenience. I order the taco salad based on a recommendation from a diner. It was pretty okay. The ground beef (taco meat) was not seasoned - it was such a disappointment. The saving grace was the spicy ranch sauce and the tortillas. Both of these made the meal better. Last words: decent hotel food. Very convenient

The floor is disgustingly sticky. Very unclean place and hard to believe they represent the hotel. The selection for breakfast is ok.

Nice place for a intimate dining experience. The whole staff was amazing. Perfect service and great care was taken to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The food was good but the desert was amazing, tiramisu just heavenly!

When I spend $40 on chicken wings and fries, I would really feel a lot better about it if the service was above gas station level accommodation (employees inattentive, slow, uninterested) and a more reasonable explanation for a 100% upcharge to add parmesan cheese and truffle oil to fries. Neither are notably expensive items so I felt ripped off. I don't mind splurging for a meal every now and then but if I'm going to splurge I want my money's worth. The chef was accommodating when I asked for more wings because some of them were... I'm not exaggerating or kidding- the size of a silver dollar. How does a chicken even fly with a wing that small? I'm still confused to this day. But I appreciate the chef making it right at least. That was my first and last time giving this place my money. I regret it. I think they just take advantage because there's nothing walking distance from the two hotels and doordash costs about the same. Was the meal good? Yeah but not $40 good.. not even close. I would have paid $16 max. That's being generous because food costs have gone up since COVID. If there were a Burger King next door I would have chosen it over this place instead. They need to humble themselves and get real with these prices cause this ain't it. If the meal would have been reasonably priced, the service good - And I wouldn't have had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the wings situation to be corrected (which resulted in cold fries) it would have been a 4/5 star review, but instead I regretted the entire experience and wasted a significant amount of money that I could have spent somewhere else.

I thought the food was delicious and the service was lovely. I had a blue moon, a Caesar salad and an appetizer platter. The presentation of the platter was beautiful which I actually wasn't expecting because there's another photo on Yelp that's less than flattering. Anyway the chef delivered the food to me personally and it was hot and flavorful; I loved that the sliders had sautéed onion it was SO good. And everyone who works here is remarkably nice!! Now let's be honest $10 for a Caesar salad is a little annoying, but it was a damn good salad and I really enjoyed my meal overall.

Not bad for hotel restaurant food. I like their sliders and wings. Not greasy at allI saw other people get club sandwich and they are huge so even the menu is small but the quality is not bad if you don't want to venture out to Southfield to get food late at night since Southfield is not the nicest town in Detroit
