“TLDR: Excellent spot. Great sandwich meal. Wonderful service. I had to check if Keith Lee was in town with how amazing the customer service was. Top to bottom, great presentation. The place was clean, the guy at the front (owner?) was welcoming, and the prices are great. I wanted a Parmesan chicken sandwich but they were out so we got 2 crispy chicken sandwiches, no onions and 1 with cheese. The sandwich tasted amazing. Idk if it was cheese sauce or not, but no cheese slices on either. There was onions on one but it was large cut and easy to remove. I'm still so impressed so I won't hold it against them. The sandwich itself had two crispy juicy tenders in it and fresh lettuce and tomato. Hard to hold with two tenders but fun if you're a sloppy eater. The fries that came with them were crispy And well seasoned. We waited a while for the sandwiches and the nice gentleman gave us drinks for the wait.“
“I went to The Eagle for lunch and it exceeded my expectations! The food was truly delicious. The chicken just about fell of the bone of my drumstick and the mac and cheese was the perfect creamy, yummy side. It was also a cool vibe! As a Detroit resident I love that there's a new place to watch a game that's not just a "sports bar." The service was great, bathrooms clean, and just a 10/10 spot!“
“We happened to be in the area randomly, as we live about 25 minutes south and don't usually visit this area....but it was AMAZING food and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely make the drive or pay the delivery fee for DoorDash to get food from here again. The plantains....YUM!!“

“Food was great! I called ahead for a large order for my daughter birthday, everything was hot and fresh and the staff working was very pleasant, they made sure I had enough and ensured that I had my whole order. As far as the store it's in , you can stick up on stuff you made need while you're out. Randomly inside a liquor store. Everyone at the pet loves the chicken and the red beans and rice with off the chain. Only downside was that they ran out of biscuits:( still giving a 5 star, so good they ran out.“
“The chicken shawarma sandwich was good. The chicken was extremely juicy which is rare for a shawarma place. They only serve chicken! I was not aware of that before heading there for a beer shawarma lol. The man behind the counter told me I could just wait in my car and he would bring the food out to me which is why I gave service 5/5. Food 4/5 and atmosphere 3/5.“

“We happened to drive by this location and decided to give it a try. It's a small space but bright, colorful and clean. We ordered the Joey Eats Fries, a Smash Burger and a bloomin' onion dish. “I was looking for a good place to get a burger and shake so I stopped here. The two young men working were very kind and polite, the service was excellent. The place was clean, quiet, and comforting. I ordered a smash burger with waffle fries and a chocolate shake. I wish the burger was seasoned, but overall it was cool. The fries were nice and hot and the shake was good, could’ve had a bit more chocolate flavor but I still enjoyed it. Definitely check this place out! I’ll be back.“
“Awesome place, great service, great food. Being stuck next to the Marijuana dispensary and the liquor/gas station makes parking a mess and the lobby isn't very inviting. The guy running the place is super nice and answered all of my questions about types of fish and everything was delicious ? 9/10 would go again! “The 5 piece chicken tenders were very dry and hard to chew, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt because it was also around 8 at night. The place itself wasn’t the most appealing but it also looked like every other popeyes (not much complaint there). The fries were bomb. I truly do adore Popeyes, but this location wasn’t a 10/10.“
“I enjoyed the krispy chicken very delish, the servers are very, kind, patient, and know how to talk with the public specially when someone tries to be snippy the server remains calm and kind without speaking or lashing back out with the customer. I give Kudos to the servers for handling themselves with respect towards the snippy customer. The atmosphere I feel is all good vibes nice and light just right for me because, if it were to be, thick, heavy, and or deary, I'd surly walk out remaining to steer clear. Truly Krispy Krunchy, Chicken good food and great servers too.“
“When I tell you won’t have better, I mean it. This is the first I seen such a different array of items. Instead of normal catfish they got catfish bites. Amazing, first time but nonetheless amazing. Wings fresh - Always - succulent and moist. I’ve been to a lot of different fried food establishments and this one is up there for surrreee. Staff are friendly and the place looks fun, different by still nice. Clean on the inside and the workers keep a healthy environment by the looks of it. If you see one on a drive I assure you at least stop by.“
“First I would like to say the food was freshly prepared in front of us & we had a bit of a wait, but for fresh food I will not complain about waiting!This was my first time here, the food looks nothing like the pictures, however it was very tasty, I was pleasantly surprised!The chicken is juicy, possibly the juiciest chicken I’ve had considering all of the chicken places on every corner & the asked if I wanted lemon pepper in my chicken too(yesss!!) the original sauce really brings out the Cajun flavors in the chicken and they compliment each other perfectly.The honey biscuits were sitting under the lamp for a while and not dripping in butter like I expected, I would probably ask for extra drizzle next time, but still had a nice crust and fluffy inside.The place is a bit run down, not organized & seemingly unclean, but it’s a gas station too, and that didn’t bother me much since I’ve lived in the area forever. I feel like it has almost become underrated with time, but it still holds up.Gus's is one of the only places where I enjoy White meat. The chicken is that juicy. The collard greens are also awesome. This chicken isn't at all like the standard fare around town. It's got a unique batter and taste that I've yet to find anywhere else.The staff is incredibly nice and your food comes out promptly with any sort of modifications you want.Again, there have been a lot of new options for food that have popped up around Midtown. Gus's is still one of the best around and needs to be checked out. Best chicken in Detroit“
