I really like this restaurant. 1st off, the food, and it's a lot of food, is plentiful, hardy, delicious, home made and served with a genuine smile by people who like serving us. And that's fun. A server who attends to you and makes sure you're happy with your meal is good for me. The red rice is great. Chopped sirloin is great, lamb is outstanding, burgers and anything Greek is great... opa. Try this place out.
The best Greek food, staff and management in the area. Vegetables are imported from the Mediterranean so salads are excellent but that shouldn’t stop you from ordering anything else because the entire menu is excellent. Breakfast, lunch or dinner you will be well served and plenty happy. God bless and take care. Big Blue out.Parking: Parking lot is small for the amount of business this place can do. If you come early there is plenty of parking. Come late and you will see why.

The best Greek place (and secret coney) by miles. I've been here so many times since living in SCS and have only had a bad experience one (slightly overcooked chicken).They people are always nice, the service is so fast, the food is great, and the prices are fair.
The food is amazing....the Greek salad dressing is the best I've ever had. I love the gyros also...

Me and my boyfriend are never disappointed with Athenian, and today was no different! He always gets the pork chops and I usually get the gyro. Today I got the chopped sirloin and it was fantastic! I said medium and it was perfectly medium! And it was huge, all of the portions always are. The lady running the counter was super polite and the waitstaff I encountered were very polite and courteous. Our two dinners, with all the dinner accoutrement, cost the same as if we went through a drive thru. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back!

They put the pita bread in with the food, which makes it soggy. Food is usually cold when I stand there for 10 extra minutes to get my carry out while they're on the phone. They sold me a bottle of dressing last time I was there that I found out was expired when got home. The sides are always horrible, canned vegetables and lousy sauce. They charge $80 for three dinners on careyout. Too bad my husband likes their lamb chops.

Always get the same thing and it hits every time. Double chicken kabobs are perfectly seasoned and they get a nice char off their griddle that has me nibbling at pieces until it disappears.Been going here for years and get recognized/acknowledged by the behind counter staff.I love to cook but this is my go to for fresh take out. Can’t speak to other things on the menu but they know their kabobs!
