A gastronomic adventure that exceeded all expectations. A true celebration of taste.

I’ve been going to Sala Thai since the original location in 1994 in Detroit. Sala Thai is a family owned business running three locations at one time. It was the best Thai food and still remains the best Thai food that I have ever had. It’s flavorful and good heat levels. When I worked in the area by the one on 14 mile I would crave it and eat there once a week.

Ask for extra sauce and good thing I did. It was not red curry noodle. It had very little sauce. It tasted good but I like to add rice to soak up the sauce and no sauce available to do so. May give it a second chance in near

Order the noodle soups and other dishes you don't see at most Thai restaurants. This place has some of the best street food dishes I've had in Michigan. The papaya salad will light you up and it actually has salted crab. Give it a try and be adventurous.

Well it's not that name anymore. And apparently they're closed on Wednesdays of all times. Most restaurants close on Mondays. So they need to update their stuff because Sala Thai II does not exist anymore.

Our go to was Thai Star but they were closed during Sunday so we end up here. Husband and I were craving to something really spicy. Well, it's just okay we ordered Extra Hot but seems like it's just mild, flavor of fish sauce was kinda strong, oily, appetizer size was small, compared to Thai Star price was kinda high and portion were kinda small too. We're the only customer but we didn't really get an amazing service, most of the time no one is around for us to ask for something and neither ask us about how the foods taste like. This was my first time here and might also be the last. Will definitely just try other Thai place instead.

This is the BEST Thai restaurant in Troy imho. Appetizers are a bit small for the price, but all of the dishes deliver on taste and quality. Spice levels are a bit mild (at least on the day I went) so order a level above what you are used to. Medium Pad Thai had zero heat but still tasted amazing.

Mussels and chicken larb were good. The gang gai was okay and the drunken noodle was great.
