Luck of The Draw! I happened upon Shish Town when I had a hankering for Mediterranean Food while visiting the Taylor area. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. I was offered a discount when I placed my takeout order over the phone and they made a great recommendation as a replacement for not having Salmon that day. I ordered the Deluxe Falafel Wrap, the Shrimp Ghallaba, and a plethora of sides (rice, fries, grilled vegetables, house salad, and hot bread) and everything was fresh and flavorful! The hot bread was amazingly fresh - highly recommend! They threw in a complimentary rice pudding and although I'm not a fan of the dessert itself; it was actually tasty. My vegetarian was impressed with the Falafel Wrap; I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp Ghallaba and would definitely order again especially given the reasonable price points. If you are interested in Mediterranean food, give this place a try ASAP!

I hadn't been here for a couple years.I stopped going because of a lady that was working there.The gentleman I dealt with last week and today was fantastic! Great attitude and actually had knowledge of the food on the menu! Crazy!I did not have any issues with the food previously but I can say that the food was delicious and it is even better now!I was beyond pleased with my experience today.

I had a Fatoosh Tawook which was very good. Shish town is a small quiet restaurant, nothing too fancy. If you like traditional mediterranean food you'll love this place.

Just ordered food from them yesterday for the first time. 10/10 would recommend. Can't go wrong with a shish tawook, tabbouli, and hummus. Delicious!

My first time ordering from here. Very polite and patient with my questions about their food. I ordered the Chicken Ghallaba dinner, it was very good, so was the salad and bread. I will definitely go back. Thumbs up for this place!?

My husband and I came for the first time today and the food was AMAZING. The guy there was so nice and a geniunely cool guy! Their Chicken Ghallaba, Meat Combo, Garlic Sauce was perfect! When we come back to visit Detroit we will most definitely be coming back to Shish Town. A1 Customer Service!
The best food made by the nicest people. A wonderful restaurant that I frequent several times each week and am very happy they are nearby. Thanks for all of the wonderful meals :)

Dined in on 02/06/21Definitely not the best first impression. To start, the waiter brought us the menus directly from another table, no sanitization between. I pretty much drowned one in my own sanitizer. After that, we didn't get our waters till after our food, one of the appetizers came last, the falafel was a little over fried so it was super crunchy. they didn't have the spinach for the salad i ordered(which was fine) had them swap it out for a different base, or so I thought. They thought I was just swapping the whole salad, so I didn't get the chicken I wanted at first, the salad also had banana peppers that weren't listed on the menu, the Greek salad also had green olives instead of black. Got the salad straightened out, finally got our waters, hummus arrived with 4 small pieces of bread. The pita was freshly baked though, honestly the best part of the meal. Someone else in my party got a salmon salad that cost $4 more than the normal salad, the piece of salmon was maybe about 1/4 thick and the than 4" long. Definitely not worth the price. He joked and called it salmon jerky. The waiter seemed apologetic , and I understand just getting back into the swing of dine in, but really don't think I'll be coming back.

New favorite Mediterranean restaurant! We ordered the combo for 4 for dinner today and were very pleased. The food is amazing, huge portions and very fresh. The service was also outstanding, they were so friendly and accommodating. We have tried many Mediterranean restaurants in the area and Shish Town is by far the best.
