We have come to this area and visited many of the region's wineries several times. Chateau Grand Traverse stands out above them all. Do yourself a favor and come outside of the busy time of year (summer and fall) so you can have more time for a tasting without the crowds. Jacob was especially knowledgeable of the history of the vineyard the wines they serve, he helped us find all of our favorite wines on the menu. Highly recommend this as a stop on your wine tour.

Jacob was very knowledgeable and very helpful for our wine selection.

Chateau Grand Traverse by far exceeded our expectations. We had lower expectations as their wine is available in supermarkets but those expectations were exceeded exponentially. Staff were friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable. Kathy in particular was a superstar; we would come back again without hesitation.

We did the winter flight pass in Old Mission Peninsula and visited 9 of the 10 wineries on the list. This was our absolute favorite! It's fairly clear why they are in many major retailers, plus the price is beyond reasonable. Our new favorite MI made wine.

Did a wine tasting there today! It was okay, not our favorite but the views are amazing in all seasons! Great seating inside and outside!

I was ordering a gift certificate over the phone for a private tasting and Jacob made the process extremely simple & was very helpful. He gave great details on the whole process which was much appreciated since this was for a gift. Wonderful guest service!

Take away wine glass was nice. Have been visiting this area for years and decided to try Chateau Grand Traverse for a first time. We quickly realized our reception was far from friendly. She overlooked the person behind who was waiting to order snacks. Kathy was curt and made it very clear she was short with words. Confirmation came quickly when the gentleman next to us said they felt the way. Heads up, flights are not possible. One must stand for any tastings.

The property is gorgeous! Good wines too! The Grand Traverse area Pinot Noir seems to be a little tarter than California's.

Chateau Grand traverse is consistently in my favorite wineries in the Traverse City area. I love the transparency, reasonably priced, and variety available. The varietals change some year to year but maintain quality and flavor you'd expect. The tasting room usually offers some unique products I haven't had before in addition to the staples I'm accustomed to. If you're lucky sometimes there are vintage library releases available to purchase or a little extra to taste. The winery offers fantastic views and outdoor seating to enjoy a glass.

This winery is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio and sipping some wine. The wines we tasted were good quality and the prices were fairly cheap ($10 tasting and wine by the glass $8 each) and the glasses you use are complimentary gifts.Service was also great. Overall no complaints and a very enjoyable afternoon.

Great place to visit if you're in the area, probably one of the best winery in Michigan...they have quite a bit of collection of wines, amazing servers and bartenders, timely service. Wine tasting tours are available daily here and costs $10 for 5 wines, of course you get to keep the glass.

Fun spot! Knowledgeable and very friendly servers/tenders, decent wine, and a cute shop! They also had good food options, though I didn’t try them so I can’t speak on them. Very good prices as well!!
