I just had lunch here and a darker haired lady (a manager?) was pretty rude to the blonde bartender? The darker haired lady stood by the end of the bar the whole time and was demeaning and rude. Blonde bartender was excellent despite what the dark haired lady was saying out loud in front of customers. Not professional at all.

We experienced Harrington's Easter Brunch today and other than the service it was a disappointment, the service is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. There were no labels describing the entries, sure you knew if it was bacon or sausage but the other entries were ??, some were untouched probably due to the fact nobody knew what the heck they were! All the entries, eggs, sausage, fish, etc. were cold!! The desert pastries tasted old and were also cold. The only items that were warm were the made to order omelets and the meat (ham & prime rib) at the carving station. I have to say the prime rib and the ham were both very good. We thought we would give Harrington's a try because our first choice was booked. I do want to add that although the food was subpar the servers were excellent and we appreciate them giving up their Easter to help serve the folks!

Perfect cozy restaurant right across from Lake Michigan. We sat by one of the warm and welcoming fireplaces in the dining room overlooking the water. Zoey was a dining adventure host (aka server) and she was delightful! The entire meal from the Bacon Wrapped Grilled Shrimp the special mixed Burger and the soups were perfect after our beautiful yet raining hike at Sleeping Bear Dunes. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!!! We enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace as we saw our first snowflakes of this winter/spring of 2024. Beautiful, romantic, delicious!!! ❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️❤️❤️⭐️

Sadly this restaurant has really gone downhill. While the decor is nice, the food is not good and a deep clean is needed. Had the tenderloin salad, which came out with almost no dressing, two wispy red onions on top and a wedge of mushy rotten tomato. The tenderloin was cooked as ordered but was cold. The server was friendly but scarce, and they were not busy when we were there. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, it was a poor experience. We won't be back.

Booths were open by the windows but all were reserved. We agreed to sit at a booth away from the window. It was fine but the hostess acted as if we were asking for something unreasonable. I had a blue cheese burger. The blue cheese sauce has an odd sweetness to it. The burger was cooked properly though so I ate it.My husband has fish and chips. He said that both the Tartar sauce and Cole slaw tasted strange. He has an upset stomach after dinner. My friends split a $45 ribeye and they loved it.. As far as atmosphere goes, it was a chilly wet day but there was no fire in the fireplace. That would have been nice. I guess my overall summer is in the middle. Oh, they did have an amazing salad of sweet and sour cucumber and yellow and red peppers. It was off the chain!

Off-season experience was sub-par with friendly but inept service and middling quality food. For the price and with the long-standing name, more is expected.
My daughter took me out for restaurant week. The food was good, altho my daughter ordered a glass of wine, being 29 she immediately pulled out her ID and the server looked at it, a few minutes later she came back and saidAll I seen was 1994 ( her birth year) and she asked to see it again. Huh? She literally said my daughter's birth year but proceeded to take her ID again and stared at it for long time. I'm not sure what she needed. Other than the year she was born it was very odd and uncomfortable for both of us. I replied, Well if it's 1994. What more do you need to see? Waitress said she was "confused by all the numbers". Huh? It's a michigan Driver's license and if the numbers confused her maybe she shouldn't be serving in the bar area.
Loved the food, it was super delish. We had salads, soup, and chicken tenders. My date had the Cranberry Aperol drink, which was tasty if a little sweet. The Gorgonzola-chive dressing is a hit, and the chicken tenders seemed hand breaded. My mom’s squash soup was super sweet, so if you like that, you’ll love it. She ended up adding salt for her taste. Our bartender/waitress seemed so out of it. It took forever for her to talk to us, couldn’t remember what we ordered (had to walk back to confirm three separate times) and brought the dressings for the salads to the wrong people by itself. It was not busy by any stretch. It made a delicious lunch off putting by making us uncomfortable in having to check and recheck the order. We got the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and it was… weird. So cold that you couldn’t spoon through the ganache on top. When the waitress dropped it off, she said “sorry, the whipped cream is dead.” Lol it was just kind of a weird experience.
