The women hostess working on 01.26.2024 around 9:00 PM was the rudest person I have encountered at an establishment in a while. It is not a good idea to have her as the first person you encounter. I am not the type of person to complain. The drinks and atmosphere was great but she ruined the experience for our party.

The service is great The ambiance dark and (if a bit noisy at times). It has the feel of a London Gentleman's Club. The cocktails are crafted little bits of heaven in a glass ... mixed with a bit of mischief and a gentle kick from grandads mule.

Attempting to go here for the second night in a row. 1st night was so amazing. Our bartender Griffin is a total rockstar on our 1st experience ! Sadly night 2 we were turned away and denied seating but the tall brunette hostess… they not only had zero compassion after misgendering members in our group… apparently my attitude was not appropriate when I politely asked if I may approach a couple at the bar to see if they would mind moving over so our group. Old sit together at the bar. I was yelled at- and told “I will not have you bother my customers just to accommodate your needs”The worst I have even been treated here in TC. I will never return, I will never bring my clients, friends,family, nor recommend ANYONE within my very large network circle. What absolute trash.

Great drinks, great staff, great atmosphere! Dark, cozy and designed for conversation. Bartenders can and will make whatever you want. Our favorite bar!
Very attentive, knowledgeable & friendly staff. My partner & I enjoyed conversing with the bartenders. Tasty cocktails, however lacked some uniqueness. Not sure what vibe they are going for, but it’s giving more upscale dive bar vibes versus a swanky speakeasy style. Still a great place for a nightcap.

My husband and I absolutely love the Low Bar! The staff are always amazing to us. Zach makes an amazing cocktail every time. The atmosphere is very prohibition era with an awesome ambience. An absolute must go anytime I am in the Traverse City area.

Low Bar is by far our favorite cocktail spot in TC. They are the only craft cocktail bar in town to deliver on their prices. The ambiance is perfect for date night, a night out with friends or a slow weeknight for a chat with a friendly staff. If you want the perfect pairing, start your night at Low Bar before you indulge at Modern Bird.
