Is take out only now. Very said, but I understand. Staffing and illness.

The food is good but I'm not sure why it's still takeout only. Especially now that it's winter. We are in TC 2-3 nights a week and I'd love to patronize but I also don't want to eat in my car in the dark.

Edit : Refreshing the review. Still some of the best chinese food in Traverse. I wish the dining room was back open because we enjoyed the service and friendliness of staff. My wife and I love eating here. This is some of the best Chinese food available in Traverse City..hands down. The staff is very nice too.

I usually don't "karen" but here goes: my husband picked up take-out tonight. He ordered the Mermaid (2) and fried rice. The rice was bland, and the main entree, which is supposed to have seafood (shrimp, scallops, etc.) was just veggies with two shrimp and maybe one or two scallops and a few tiny pieces of lobster tail in each serving. One positive: broccoli was decent, but overall NOT worth the $52 price. I even called them to whine, but I was told that the cook said he gave us a whopping three of each seafood item per serving. (Apparently, my husband was the only s***** to order that item tonight, which is significant, given that it's a Friday night...) I don't know who to be more angry with: Panda North for skimping or my husband for squandering our hard-earned cash! (It may be a long night for him!)

We come to Traverse City every year and Panda North gets our business every year. Before the pandemic they had all you can eat sushi and we loved it! It's takeout only now, so no more AYCE but it's still great sushi at a fair price. The staff is polite and we will be back again next year!

The people that are leaving anything less then 5 stars please tell me another place you can get unlimited sushi for less than 28 dollars, on top of that the sushi isn't even bad don't get me wrong it's not top tier but it certainly isn't a average shop

Panda North is a small family restaurant. The owners are extremely kind and always greet you with a smile and a friendly word.Sushi is a seemingly simple dish that takes a great deal of skill to perfect. The rice must be perfect and the ingredients must be very fresh for this dish to work. The owner and sushi chef at Panda North makes some of the best sushi rice I have ever tasted, and I have traveled around the world. The ingredients are always fresh and the roll combinations are perfect. The end result is the sushi that is divine and always a delightful dining experience.Thank you to both of you for so many wonderful dishes over the years.

Take out only so ambiance is DYI. Have been going here for many many years. It's a typical midwestern Chinese place but with covid it's been reduced to Take Out Only. I used to love the Pepper Shrimp, but for take out, no way. It now depends on what you order, so I will say, Pass on the Pepper Shrimp. On our latest order we had Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The KP Chicken was way above average, give it 4 stars. I would order it again. The Mongolian Beef was a total fail. One Star. If you have ever had this dish and enjoyed it for the tender (sometimes some sort of premium cut) beef. This is NOT IT. This a small portion of beef chopped into small stringy pieces. There is only one other ingredient other than a little brown sauce, and that is coarsely sliced onion and lots of it. If you are hankering for a dinner of old fashioned "Liver and Onions" this is the one to go for. No, there is no liver, but the dish would actually improve it there was. It is simply stringy beef with a little brown gravy and a LOT of onion. That's it. Unfortunately, no liver. So, Fout stars for the KP Chicken, zero Stars for ambiance, one Star for Mongolian Beef and two stars for doing a good carry out package. Two stars rounded up.

The worst chinese food I’ve ever had. The chicken was fried like a week back and the fried rice had risen from its grave. Pad Thai was edible. Dumplings had very little filling of what I hope was chicken.

Yum! I heard the restaurant may have gotten new owners and have wanted to try it for a while. Placed a to-go order later in the evening and got the food within 15 minutes! It was tasty and hit the spot. Fair price for the quantity I have tasty leftovers for days!
