If you lived in downriver all your life it's a not so secret that we go here for birthdays or anniversary here. It's a great place for couples to co-workers celebrating a birthdays. I moved out of state for 10yrs and came back and it feels such a welcome back feeling and the food is soooo freaking good!! It never disappoints!!!

This place has really gone downhill. The temperature was 60° outside at the AC was blasting. This is supposed to be a moody joint, the lights were turned all the way up. My dish was advertised as having sun-dried tomatoes in it yet I had regular tomatoes cooked in it. What happened to this place?

My family has been going to Sibleys for 30 years. All our parties and celebratory events have been held there. Last Saturday we went for a birthday dinner. We had reservations and upon arrival were informed we had a time limit and would have to be done and leave by that time. Service was good. Small bugs flew around constantly. Salads were good. Baked potatoes were cold, vegetables were pure inedible cold mush, chicken Tosca was cold and dry, lobster tail was overcooked and over seasoned, stuffed tomato was miniscule compared to what we have had in the past, Leelanau chicken was nowhere near the same recipe as previous visits. We would have sent things back but they were very busy and we were still under the time restraint. Sadly, my children and their families will most likely be ending our patronage of Sibleys of 30 years. This decision was not made lightly.

The food was pretty good, especially the meaty pasta bake dish. There were nats or fruit flys or something the whole time which definitely detracted from the atmosphere and overall comfort factor. A small thing, but this is supposed to be a bit more upscale so there’s that. Service was somewhat lax, but we got our food hot and didn’t have to wait long for drink refills.

This place brands itself as an "Italian" restaurant. However, the only items on the menu that are just ok, nothing special, is the Italian. Everything else, including every meat, seafood, appetizer, salad, etc is incredible. I reccomend they pay an executive chef for a new red sauce recipe. Been bland and underwhelminng for decades. That is my only complaint.

First time trying this restaurant and I have to say I was impressed! It was nice to see the coat check I haven't seen one of those in a while really only in New York. If it weren't for the "nats" which there was a lot getting in our drinks and food I'd give it 5 stars! The desert is a must try.
