Took my family for Easter Dinner. Terrible service, cold food, high prices and no one seems to care. Don't go.

Two Words..! will describe my actual experience and the experience of a family member attempting to make an honest living at this establishment... and the words are...STAY AWAY! Approximately 6 years ago I had a personal experience that has not allowed me to return! We called ahead and were given and approximate 30 minute wait, an hour in half later we were seated, approximately 30 minute later still no server came to our table, we took it upon ourselves to get our drinks from the bar which prompted the very busy bartender to take our orders. By the time our food came approx 45 minutes later, it wasn't correct. An employee we stopped passing by tried to have the food corrected but as he was extremely busy and sweati, he delivered our food sweating profusely over our plates. At that point we called it quits, spoke to the manager and received not one but two $50 gifts cards for us to return and give them another opportunity to make it right... I gave them away with explanation of why I would not be using them. Six years later, it's even more disturbing to know of the disgusting protocols or the lack there of... With all of the people with cancer diagnosis's , the autoimmune compromised, and the not quite developed (children) immune systems, it's scary to think of what their potential risk is with patronizing such an establishment. Also, to know that there is such a place that hires people and then refuses to pay them, it's uncanny when there are so many establishments that would do back flips to have workers willing to show up & work! Dear Google/ Yelp, Through a very long and tangled grape vine, I've hear this establishment is trying to have these reviews taken down, PLEASE DON'T for the health and humanity of it! Sincerely, A very pissed off consumer!

Where do I even start? I worked at this place for a week and it's an absolute train wreck. I'll just start with how the kitchen is ran.. if you get sick eating here don't wonder why I'll tell you! When you get bread with any meal don't eat it because the people getting it aren't wearing gloves and a muffin on your salad...? You guessed it don't eat no gloves! And touching the Lord knows what beforehand.. The GM will lick the barbecue sauce off of his fingers from your plate of ribs then hand out your salad.. we're hands washed? Absolutely not. Also, what's dripping across your food from leaking ceilings might be the cause of not feeling so great either. If your food comes back with a hair in it, no big deal he'll just take it off the plate and send it back to you.. no harm no foul! The servers that are absolutely glorified are also coming back from breaks they take with nose bleeds and major sniffles but not because the air is dry.. Do with that information what you will.. but you don't need a wide imagination to know what I'm getting at. I worked my first serving shift here on Easter only to find out that team work and shaking things off means getting yelled at to get the f*** out of the kitchen because you're trying to get your tables their food, and children in particular. Don't come here if you'd like to eat right away, and don't expect to get exactly what you ordered the first time around the places motto is third times a charm as far as that goes. And no, I'm not some bitter ex employee, making things up, I'm an outraged human being that was treated like dirt for an entire week by another human with confidence issues that's taken out not only on me but the entire staff there. So really I didn't even get a chance to work here; just my time wasted. Pip is a step below the GM and one of the only reasons I stayed a week there, she's the only hope for any turn around here and I pray it does because 90% of the staff is absolutely wonderful but there's definitely a couple anchors that will run this place to the ground. Hopefully the owner realizes what he has because the good ones here don't come around often in this industry. I don't have much faith because he feels that screaming at employees for trying to do there job in taking care of customers is okay because things get stressful.. also if you're trying to actually be paid for hours worked and tips earned don't count on it the money turned in might go missing.. it's a joke of an establishment....

The absolute WORST service! It was shocking to experience such a lack of & poor quality of service, the waitress was obnoxiously mean & disrespectful (rolling her eyes & snide comments) & all food orders were wrong, served at different times, some food was cold & most orders were incomplete (no sides, wrong items). Several of our group had to search for any staff to beg for glass of water, never any coffee warm-up & asking the waitress any question was met with an angry response, if she didn’t just ignore you. Four of our groups dinners were served so late that they asked for a carry out container, which by the way, she never brought & I had to go downstairs just to find someone that could give me the containers! In my entire lifetime, 70+ years, I have NEVER left a restaurant without leaving a generous tip. The total cost of dinner was approx $600, which entails another debacle by the waitress, ending with her scolding my 78 yr old sister. That said, although it was very difficult for me, I did not leave ANY gratuity for her & included a note on my paper receipt as to why there was no tip. I hope I never have to struggle with that again! It has troubled me since.I would NOT RECOMMEND Camp Ticonderoga to anyone. The experience was a disaster, the service was a complete clown show & the entire dinner was ruined because of the service.

We had a reservation on Easter Sunday afternoon for 12 for our family. Seated upstairs. Really irritating a table that was seated after us was served before us. It took an hour to just be served our dinner, very ordinary overcooked dishes and over 1-1/2 hours later we had to request check - don't recommend this place for holiday dinner that's for certain. Too little staff and poor quality.

We had a party of four the week before Christmas. We have eaten at Camp T for years, including having two rehearsal dinners for our kids. This was the only time I was disappointed in the service and the meal. I felt we were hurried by our waiter…not even offered a dessert. The restaurant was not especially busy and it was on a week night.I would never order the maurice salad again. It was a large plate full of shredded lettuce and not much else. Definitely not like it used to be.The pricing had gone up and I was surprised at the bill. I guess that’s the case everywhere now.I hate to see such a special place not live up to its reputation for good food, great atmosphere and wonderful service.

Just had a poor experience at camp Ticonderoga. My wife had French onion soup that was very bland and the cheese tasted funny. I had the perch, which was a strange batter, deep fry. The first time they brought it out, it was hard and overcooked. The next one was slightly better, but the problem was that neither the batter nor the fish had any taste. Very plain. The green beans were very hard. Even the garden salad left a lot to be desired. It was shredded lettuce, like you find in tacos, and they barely give us any dressing. Even my bottled beer was on the warm side. Great atmosphere, and good service, but the food was poor.

We are new to the area. So we were pleasantly surprised to find this cozy cabin-like lodge just up Rochester Road in Troy. Several fireplaces and overlooks the golf course where I have seen golfers every time the weather has warmed this winter. Great food choices, recommend the french onion soup and the perch salad. We will return.

Lisa was our server the other day, and she was simply average. Food was simply average and over priced for the quality being served. Vibe was average. Supposed to be a lodgey feel but it seemed like it’s become simply dusty as of recent. Sad. Used to be such a gem.

oh deary dear. where shall i begin my horrendous adventure about Howey Mandel aka the manager who seemed to get a kick out of treating customers as if he didn’t want anyone present. customers were being denied at the door because “we are too busy”. mind boggling to deny service. there’s a sea of restaurants, we won’t bother to ever try this place.

New owner. New chef. Same menu. NOT the same quality of food.We ordered the crab bisque and mussels. The bisque was a room temp, blended and congealed liquid that tasted like it had been re-warmed after sitting on the stove for too long. No taste of crab. Not creamy. After agreeing with my assessment, the waitress brought out clam chowder that was hot and pretty good. She then explained that taste was a matter of opinion. And while I didn't like it, someone else might. What? Someone might like yesterday's soup that sat on the burner too long and then was thinned out, removing the taste? The mussels were also room temperature, some with a metallic taste and others about average. We are so sad to lose our " go to " restaurant.
