Restaurant was empty- not a soul inside. Was staying at the Somerset Inn and asked for a to go order. Refused- insisted we dine in. Than shoed us away like

There was no body else there but our group on a weekday evening. Pleasant place. I have always wondered why the place was called crumpets when they did not offer any crumpets. They are easy to make. A little butter and jam they are delicious. The menu was not extensive for dinner. But good enough.

Need some Vegan Options. It's not that difficult to make a tasty Cauliflower steak!Vegetarian options: Lots of Vegetarian options..no specific Vegan ones, which is disappointing in these days and times. It's not difficult to make a tasty cauliflower steak!

It was very underwhelming and I was kind of disappointed after seeing it's raining and having it come up when searching for French cuisine I went in knowing it wasn't the most French cuisine. But we are looking for something quicker for the night but I don't believe we will be back again.

The service is poor. It’s old and run down. The staff is rude when they are busy. The food is “hotel” style food.

Last year we ate breakfast here. It was amazing. Pricey, but it's in a hotel. Fast forward to this year....Not busy. We ask to be seated by friends. No problem. They seat us, we sit there for 15 minutes before anyone comes over. A guy brought a pitcher of water, but only filled 2 of the 3 glasses, then left to get a refill. 20 min later he comes back and fills 2 glasses and walks away again. There's still one glass completely empty. A waitress comes over and we politely tell her that there is a table ahead of us. She walks over to them. We still don't have menus. We were there for a dance competition and did not have time to wait around. Again, I repeat, they were not busy. So after 35 min with no drinks or menus my husband left to get us McDonald's. Very disappointed. We were not the only ones disappointed. They refused to take to go orders as well. They couldn't be bothered to bring others bills so they could leave. Just a very disappointing experience all around.

I work in the building attached to Somerset Inn. I walked over to order my lunch to go and was told they were too busy.

Best BREAKFAST secret in Troy! Very pleasant, upscale dining room and not crowded. Excellent, professional service. Prices are a bit higher when you order a la carte but the "All American" is a deal that includes juice and coffee with eggs, potatoes and toast, is a bargain. Yes, I'm going to come here at other times and see if it's as good for lunch and dinner, I'll update when I do that .

I find that crumpets is one of the best places in Oakland County to get breakfast Dee and Farouk are amazing as a team the kitchen puts out an excellent product with the food coming out hot the sausages are from Dearborn Ham which there's no filler in them they are amazing and the raisin toast is to die for. It's a well-kept secret in all of Oakland County. You should try it

Ordered the French onion soup. It was ok, a little sweet. My salad for lunch cost $9. I added chicken for another $6. It was square chunks of chicken. I thought a least grilled and cut and arranged nicely. Nope, bland chicken. Nothing to deserve the $15 dollar price tag. Not worth the time.

Always friendly and great food. If you are looking for a quiet lunch spot over the mall or loud places on Big Beaver, try this place. Recommend the Maurice salad.
