It makes me feel good to “support local” and this is a wonderful opportunity. It’s been several visits now and the food is always predictable and delicious.More importantly, my “picky eater” also enjoys the cheese quesadilla. I prefer authentic Mexican food (versus the American version) with corn tortilla shells along with all of the cilantro. This joint fits the bill! Both cost and service are quick and easy. The dine-in experience is not impressive, however the indoor artwork and graffiti is appealing and supplies interesting lunch/dinner conversation. If you like no-frills authentic Mexican food, it’s a great place to stop in.

The food was average, three of us visited. However, Javon waited on us and made the visit completely enjoyable & worthwhile at the Detroit location. We hope that his boss will see this, Javon was so fun, helpful & went above & beyond. ✌?❤️

I have been waiting to write this review for about a year. For context, I live very close to the Troy Detroit taco company and the Chipotle that is about a mile away (just past 16 mile/big beaver). I have tried the tacos, the bowls, and the burritos from Detroit taco company and they are all pretty mediocre and overpriced. Let me repeat my last statement, this is an overpriced "fast causal" wannabe chipotle/qdoba that is more money, isn't that tasty, and in general isn't what you think it is. I would suggest the following businesses:-El Guanaco; it is on Livernois/15 Mile intersection -- to be clear this is a Salvadorian restaurant that makes better tacos-La Saj: Same Parking lot but it is not bad expensive mexican food-Literally any Taco Bell or the Del Taco Franchisee if you need a quick lunchIf you are really wanting some good tacos or mexican food; Aldana on Coolidge Hwy is betterJust avoid Detroit Taco Company; it is uninspiring, overpriced, and generally an empty establishmentI regret not photographing what I bought but if I get enough love on this review I will document the food I bought

Ordered a smashwrap veggie thing, 3 veggie tacos, a chicken bowl and 2 drinks for $50. The only way I could swallow the veggie stuff was with hot Cholula. Chicken bowl tasted good but small quantity. Could have gotten much more quantity, quality and taste for the veggie orders at Chipotle at much lower cost. Lesson learnt. Very easy to make meat taste good. Veggies are hard. Add some spice to the veggies, people. Vegeterians are people too.

Got an outside wet burrito with rice and beans, as I was waiting to try this place near my current job, I’ve eaten mexican food at every place around and unfortunately today after eating this burrito I hurled it up on my drive home from work a few hours later, food was pretty mid but I only can eat what I order while on a lunch break.Second comment since I’m fuming angry;Had meet and greet concert tickets for the night, ate a meal here at noon/12:30, puked while driving at 4:45 while on the freeway home, puked as soon as I got back at 6:15 and hurled throughout the night mouthfuls of rice and black beans, taking a lot of energy out of my holiday weekend and don’t expect a response, but I’m very upset, I was told to never eat at a place that charges $5 for a taco and they weren’t wrong.

Cilantro heads up: if you are allergic to cilantro or have the gene that makes it taste like soap, your options are limited. That said, they did work with me and made sure I enjoyed a cilantro free experience.Their chips are SO GOOD. I didn't even need the salsa. The beef was well seasoned.Prices are reasonable.Everyone was so nice!

This place isn't quite sure what it is. It is set up like Chipotle, has the menu items of a street taco shop, but is not as good as either. I ordered their standard tacos (which aren't cheap) and when I asked for some salsa, they directed me to a pile of cholula packets on the counter. No fresh salsa? I'd overlook that if the food was better. It's not. Next time just go to one of dozens of more authentic taco shops in the area. It'll be cheaper and way better. Or go to Chipotle or Qdoba, for the same reasons.
