Just had lunch at El Charro earlier today. I had a lunch combo # 10. the food came out very quick and looked good. However the place was filthy plate that the food was placed on had dried up cheese and beans on it. Never going here again

The food is not good. I haven't been there in person so I'll assume the food is better than pick up. But man! The soggy, bland, unattractive, room temp food is just atrocious.

Let's start with the positives.... The margarita was good but not strong. Now to the rest. Arrived at 4 pm small group of 4 almost was seated in a booth that had what looked to be a weeks full of food and garbage under it. The restaurant itself was very dirty . We were greeted by a pleasant hostess which then turned to be our waitress she smelled strong of cigarettes each time she came to our table but she was very nice and she was in training. The food was just mediocre have been to two other El Charros that are way better than this one. I would not go back. I would not recommend I gave three stars because the girl that waited on us was nice it was really a one star for food and cleanliness.

Great ground beef seasoning. Lots of food for the price. Salsa is spicy but enchilada sauce is not at all

We come here for the puffy tacos - love them. Friendly, good pour on wine. Chips are thicker and fresh - just the way we like them. I can't give five (5) stars because this place has become pricy, prohibitive for families. (Two tacos and glass of wine over $20)

Food and drink always great. Staff was amazing - friendly, knowledgeable professional and attentive. Attributes that have become rare and so appreciated in these times of labor shortages.

I have been eating here for years now and the best thing I love about El Charro is the food consistency is always on Point! They have the best puffy tacos I have ever had! I love the shell the meat is not greasy or spicy ever and the lettuce and tomato always fresh! The tacos are so filling! Great Margaritas also and the service is always very fast and good. You can definitely stop in on your lunch break and not worry about getting back to work! Definitely recommend!

We used to eat at El Charro almost every Sunday and enjoyed the food and time with family. Went through the drive through last night... They gave us no silverware for our food and no napkins.. so once I got down the road a bit I turned around and went back. I walked in and told them what happened. The waitress disappeared and came back with the stuff handed it to me and walked away as I said thank you. No apology no smile.. they certainly can work on their customer relations.. The food was delicious to their credit!

Good food. Not the friendliest staff. Felt like we were interfering

We got a huge carryout last night that came in 2 bags & a large open-top cardboard

I went in a party of four on a Saturday afternoon. Our server was friendly and attentive. We were hoping for authentic Mexican food, but it didn't meet our expectations. The botana appetizer had no chorizo even though it was in the menu description. The chicken in the puffy tacos was unseasoned. The shredded beef tasted like very good roast beef, but had no Mexican seasonings. The shredded beef chimichanga had roast beef with no seasoning or cheese. It wasn''t bad, but wasn't great either.

National Taco Day and there is plenty of seating for a Friday evening. Don't sit at the bar because the lady manager acts as if it's her office and desks. Inappropriate conversations that customers should not have to hear.

The puffy tacos and guacamole were delicious. Service was fast and attentive.

This is quite possibly the worst food I have ever gotten. The 'puffy tacos' were legit raw and falling apart. The chicken in the tacos had zero seasoning/sauce. It was plain disgusting. The rice also had zero flavor. Weirdest food I've ever seen. Had one bite and then didn't wanna risk getting sick, looked really off.

Had the Beef Chimichanga and my wife had the puffy tacos of what they are famous for. I am originally from Mich and moved to SC but this is always a destination every time I return to the Detroit market. Fantastic
