I've had a bad experience at this Harvey's Hut at the Troy Acquatic Center before, but decided to give them another try... big mistake. I sent my son to the counter with some money, he was trying to get two things, a slushee and ice cream or chicken tenders. They served the slushee, but told him there was no ice cream or chicken tenders, but yet served the same order to the people after him. Mind you, this was yesterday, 90 degrees, middle of the day, labor day weekend. When he noticed that others were served ice cream he asked again, politely and they still refused him. Ridiculous. He said it was a high school kid that was serving him. Second part of this story, my nephews and nieces, not knowing how my son was treated, went up to the counter to also place an order. They ordered pretzels and slushees, which didn't take too long, but the line in front of them to get to the counter took about 20-30 minutes. However, the chicken tenders they ordered took another 20-30 minutes before coming out. Not to mention this would have probably taken even longer if i didn't go to the window because apparently they ignored my nephew, who was standing there politely waiting for his food. When i approached the counter on his behalf, no one wanted to make eye contact with me to address my concern, then finally when one of the workers came to the window to deliver another order, he said he'd get the order of tenders for my nephew and never came back. Very rude. Finally, after a couple more minutes, an adult came to the window to deliver yet another order, when i explained to her that we've been waiting almost 30 minutes for a few pieces of chicken tenders, she promptly went to the back, grabbed them and brought to the window. She was polite and apologized for the wait. But honestly, too little, too late. Up to that point, they were sloppy, slow, rude and inconsiderate. I get that they are only high school kids, but manners don't need to be taught on the job, and if they do, then make sure your employees learn them and have some before they deal with customers. I'll never go there again and recommend that you don't either!
