We’ve been coming to Tomo for 8 years now I think, we did the math the other day. My friend who recently moved back to Japan would really only go here because her mom wouldn’t go anywhere else really- especially if it was for ramen or anything not sushi.It’s amazing! Huge bang for your buck, great food, great service, and so much to try out. Sashimi is what my father gets and loves every single time and insists it’s some of the best he’s had and always consistent. I always get tonkastu here because it amazing and I know I’ll be disappointed if I have it from anywhere else.That said, there can be a little bit of language barrier if you only speak English (which is fine! The servers are amazing!) so special orders may not work out, it’s best order what looks good to you and stick to it (unless allergies of course).I bring friends and family here every time, and every time we all leave happy, full, and planning he next trip.Edit: A few tips! Stack your dishes and place them on the end of the table when you’re done, we’ve done this every time and dishes are picked up as they go by.The servers are not huge on talking, it’s just how it is, I personally don’t mind at all because I come to eat food not have a conversation.Go IN if you can, I’ve never ordered take out from here just cause I always figured the amount of food I’d get with that would be a pain to carry home.
Gave this a try and ordered takeout. There were no ways to make adjustments to the order, after getting the order over an hour later, half the order was wrong.Then we tried the food, it was hot water with ingredients. No flavor whatsoever.

Loved everything about this place. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. The food was excellent. We had the seaweed salad, takoyaki, and gyoza for appetizers. For entrees we enjoyed bowls of ramen, the Tonkatsu and the Shoyu. Both were perfect. We also loved that they brought little platters with pickled veggies and kimchi, and a small house salad before serving our food. That was a nice touch to top off the already great service. Loved it. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Wait staff was polite and handled our kids well. Sushi, side salad, and bulgogi we're all delicious. The salmon was good quality and fresh. The shrimp tempura was very good. Would definitely go back.

Ordered Tamago sushi and some vegetarian rolls. The rolls were definitely on the small size and were very unevenly cut. AAC roll had some asparagus pieces that were really tough and didn't taste good.I would order again for the kanpyo because it's not easy to find but felt like not as much attention to detail was given in the preparation.Vegetarian options: More vegetarian options than other places, but could have used a sweet potato or tempura roll.

Excellent food & service! Very accommodating to our large party, made a reso for 8 and had two extra join us. Staff was so patient and kind. All our food was tasty and beautiful! Loved the complementary salad, kimchi and especially the pickled radish. Our first visit we had veggie ramen, this time we had assorted veggie maki. Thanks for having plenty of affordable veg options to keep us coming back for more. Our second time visiting, definitely not our last!Vegetarian options: Mix veg roll is great, but don't pass up the chance to try the pickled radish and kampyo rolls too!!

Gross. Never again. We picked up the Teriyaki chicken and no exaggeration... it was ice cold and it looks like the dish was sitting out for ours and packed up for our order. Portions are small and over priced. I do not recommend. Tossed out the entire meal.
