Love this place. Friendly, very speedy service. Complimentary pita and garlic. Incredibly cheap shawarma. I have had better shawarma before but you can't beat this place for their price and service.

I really loved their food. I always get excellent customer service here. The place is neat and the workers are always very friendly. Will come visit again.

Great Mediterranean food with a friendly staff. The food was well prepared and the coffee was spectacular. All this, with a diner style / ambience inside.

"What do you want for lunch?" or "What are you in the mood for?" are common conundrums almost all couples face. So, I try to come up with an answer or we will hmmm and haww for an hour. There are a million middle Eastern restaurants in this area. Therefore, it's very easy to come up with that as a suggestion. Now, we've eaten at most of these places. They're all quite good, and they don't necessarily stand out one against the others usually. So we looked up the reviews and this particular restaurant had very good reviews. However when I arrived the name had changed. Now the name stated Al kabob. Was I in the right place? Was I in the wrong place? Is there another place hidden somewhere? No, I was in the right place just the name had changed. It was 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday, and there was no one there but us. So we were immediately greeted and seated. The service was polite and friendly. Although it's not very difficult for me to choose what I'm going to have, I almost always have exactly the same thing: Fattoush salad with chicken shawarma. He chose the chicken shawarma wrap, which again is nothing new. We were served garlic spread, which of course was delicious. And our food came out promptly. The serving size was generous, and the food was quite good. I really have nothing to say that would be negative about our experience. The food didn't knock me off my feet, but something about fattoush salad makes my tummy happy. Puts me in some sort of good mood, and releases endorphins. I don't know what it is but it makes me happy and now I'm in a good mood despite the fact that it is a gloomy gloomy day and it is snowing out.

Love the food and there’s such great service I come a lot because of the food and how good it tastes other people might say it’s not good but I love it

I go here at least once/week, twice if I’m lucky. They have very good food, doesn’t matter what you order, it is all good. You get hot bread and garlic spread with your order, YUM! I mostly go for the great service. They are all so happy to see you when you walk in and always polite. I’ve taken many friends and everyone always wants to go back. If you like Mediterranean food, this is the place to go.

Had 2 sandwiches but felt they just didn't hit the spot. There is a lot of tomatoes which kills the taste of the meat. Sandwich is probably not the dish to have here.

This place clearly knows how to satisfy their clients. Consistently with a very kind demeanor. The food is fairly priced, always flavorful and clean.

Even though there seems to be a name change to A1 Kabob, the food is still at a high level. Hummus is silky and the yogurt garlic mixture is just so good. Kofte is very good as well. Would return again when we visit Detroit.

Okay, sooooo here's the bottom line: great food, tons of it, and darn good prices. Here are the details: I found this restaurant on Yelp and thought I'd give it a try since it's less than a mile from work. I called and ordered the baked lamb shank as a to-go order. The gentleman was pleasant on the phone. He asked if I wanted soup or salad with my lamb shank and told me my food would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrive and am a bit thrown off because the sign on the restaurant doesn't match the name on Yelp. There's no one in the parking lot at 5pm. I'm wondering if I'm in the right place. I walk inside, and I'm the only person in the place along with the owner/chef/waiter. He's on the phone, and as I approach the counter, he hands me a bag of food. I pay. We haven't spoken a word to each other. He disappears into the kitchen while still talking on the phone. I sign the credit card receipt and start walking out. He says, "Thank you." That's it. I'm hoping I have the right food. I'm too tired to care and drive back to my hotel room to eat my dinner. I open the bag and find an overstuffed container of flavorful salad, which is included in the price of the baked lamb shank. There are plenty of cucumber and tomato chunks. I open the other container and find a huge portion of rice and a jumbo-sized lamb shank. The meat is so tender it practically falls off the bone. The sauce is flavorful with onions and carrots, but the sauce doesn't overshadow the taste of lamb. There's also a small bag full of naan/bread (4 pieces). There aren't many reviews for this place, but I would gladly return again and again. I wish I took photos of my food before I tore into it and stuffed my belly full of goodness. Total cost: less than $14 Delicious! Easy on your wallet! Enough food to feed two people! Enjoy!

This place (now called Al Kabob) is a hidden gem. Literally everything I've ordered is phenomenal! The staff is always on point, and the food can't be beat. More than reasonable prices, and always service with a smile! I get lunch from here regularly throughout my week and have never been disappointed!
