Nice little place to get breakfast or lunch the waitress felt like you were talking to a friend you had for years very down to earth and welcoming. Instead of the hurry up and move along feel we actually were relaxed while we had lunch. As we were paying the bill I noticed that the cook is the one who slices the meet for sandwiches instead of using pre sliced! I placed a order through door dash. I asked for no mayo order arrived and there is mayo on it. I never had a order go wrong so I thought I would reach out for options. The waitress hung up on me. I called back and was able to speak to the owner and was asisted professionally.

Don't pay with card. I paid with card they put in their own tip . I find that to be rude i get the cost of things go up . To charge 8$ tip for carry out that's just crazy.
Morning Star is a, "what you see is what you get," kind of place. They do lots of carryout orders and have a lot of regulars, so there's always a conversation or two going on and the place isn't big enough for you not to hear conversations.Good, solid breakfast and diner food. Excellent prices. I don't know how else to say this. This is a great place to get a diner meal. It's not a 5 star restaurant, but I'd take an omelette or eggs/bacon/toast breakfast from here over 95% of other local places. It can take a while to get food when they are busy (it appears there is one person in the kitchen) but otherwise it is typical diner quick.Morning Star is my new morning routine when I'm in the area and I enjoy breakfast here a lot. Oh, and they're open at 5am for the early risers. Great little diner.
