I ordered a cake for my mom and spoke with Carol throughout from Sweetheart Baking Company, [email protected]. She was extremely helpful and quick to respond. Unfortunately, I was unable to pick up my cake, due to being sick, she made every effort possible to get in contact with me because she knew I was going out of town for my Mom's birthday and I needed to pickup the cake. Advised no longer needed - I never asked for any type of refund because this was my fault and really, only extreme cases should get partial or full refunds. I gave permission to be taken to the Fire Station or etc. I would, however, immediately look for this baker on any and all future orders.

All of the food is amazing as is the desert. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a banquet hall or just a good restaurant.

The only reason the get 1 star is so i can leave my comment. Attended my niece and nephews baby shower at the royal palace. They went to taste test and decided to hire them for baby shower Big moment in someones life. They did not follow through with menu they paid for ,they did not have the room they were supposed to get. Hands down worst service with an explanation that the chef no longer worked there. They food was absolutely terrible. As far as the pasta the sauce was water with a side of garbage.could have gotten better in Detroit. Salad was okay till the ran short on dressing. Owner has her daughter running around establishment while we are supposed to be having a baby shower. Do not go there call me and i can do better than this place!!! Ashame to take new parents money and give such horrible service . You should be ashamed of yourselves

I had my baby shower at the Royal Palace. They are a newer restaurant so we worried about the food and they offered us a taste test. We decided on the menu and the food was good when we taste tested it. 2 days before the shower we go to their to get an idea of how everything was gonna work out. Only to be told the chief that cooked our first meal no longer works for them, but assured us that everything was going to be okay and that the owner knew the menu from 'memory.' The day of the shower we arrive to start decorating and they didnt have enough tables set out for us. ( the reason we went their a couple days before) the table cloths that were on the tables were dirty with looked like chocolate from the prior party. The dishes that were on ontop of the table cloth were dirty as well with some red sticky juice. Half way thru the shower my guests were getting charged for pop. When asked about that the owner said water and coffee is what came with it no pop. In our contract it stated other wise. Finally the food.. spaghetti served with a side of sauce with onions tomatoes and pepper, more like salsa to me. After being majorly disappointed, the next thing I was looking forward to was Italian sausage and potatos, only to find out it was only roasted potatoes. No Italian sausage just potatoes, so I go and tell the owner and her response was she could go cook it now. And that she didnt know sausage was suppose to he In there. But prior to that she stated she knew the menu.. clearly she did not. Do not waste your time with this place, very disappointed. Something I'll remember for the rest of my life.
