Took part in bike night in Wayland. My group CVMA was right in front of papa Mineos . Got a Spivey Italian calzone so big could only eat half too other half home for next day lunch! Probably best calzone I have ever had!!

Subs are decent but the pizza is not. They use way too much cheese and the pizza is really undercooked. Tried it again after 5 years, hoping it was a fluke. Unfortunately, it was not.

This is the only take out pizza in my area I buy, price, service, quality is A++ Owners are Italian/Sicilian and really take pride in their food. You have to give them a try, I'm sure you will be a return customer.

I haven't tried the pizza yet so I can't say anything about that BUT, since I've entered my third trimester of pregnancy and we've only had one vehicle, I've been getting delivery a little more often and unfortunately there's not a whole lot of choices in Wayland for delivery. I am obsessed with the appetizers here! Highly recommend their fries, onion rings and the fried pickles. The delivery is always super quick and my food is always hot. So so happy this place exists, not to mention I'm a huge French fry fan to begin with, and most of the places in Wayland have the same crappy, overly greasy or beer battered, bar fries, and these are such a nice change of pace, I love the crinkle fries!

This pizza is fully covered with your choices. Our veggie pizza had so many veggies; you could hardly see the sauce... It's done right on time... no waiting. Take a break from the kitchen and try it!!!

The best pizza in town, has a perfect sauce, cheese ratio. Run by a kind family from Italy, an amazing business and could eat their food all week.

Carry out only, Pappa Mineo’s’s is a 30-year-old Italian treasure! I picked up today baked penne Bolognese. It was fabulous and very reasonably priced.

I cannot say enough how much we love this place! We have only had the pizza and cheesy breadsticks. So good! Plus the tiramisu is amazing!

Some of the best pizza I have had in years, never been disappointed, coworkers all agree there is not a better pizza place around the area.

Had takeout twice here now. Pizza was GREAT, service was quick and accurate. This is our new favorite pizza place. Recommend the chicken Alfredo pizza!

Papa Mineo's is relatively new to Wayland -- I think less than 1 year. It is located in the same space as several previous pizza restaurants, so you may not know that it is actually a completely new owner and menu. I picked up a menu recently, and decided to give it a try -- not really expecting much. But, the pizza here is definitely among the BEST in the region. Definitely the BEST in Wayland area. (Can't comment on pizza in GR or Kalamazoo, since I have not had many pizzas in those cities. Tend to get pizza close to home, and we get more "exotic" fare when we go to restaurants out of the area.) We tried a thin crust traditional pizza, with 2 toppings. Also, a Tuscan Salad ($7.99: grilled chicken, spinach & iceberg lettuce, garbonzo beans, dried cranberries, walnuts, drizzled with Balsamic glaze). The salad was excellent and definitely large enough to be a meal in itself. Not sure why it comes with a side cup of Italian dressing. That confused us -- we ignored the Italian dressing. The pizza was different than any others you will find in the area -- Little Ceasar's, Jets, Salvinos, Hungry Howies, Pizza Hut, Mitten Pizza, etc. I would describe it as a New Jersey/ New York style. (New York pizza is actually the best.) The thin crust is not super-thin. The toppings were plentiful (unlike some places that maybe sprinkle 4 mushroom pieces and a few onion slivers and call that "2 toppings"). The cheese was melted and browned a bit. The flavor was a definite notch above any other mundane pizza in the area. This is a superior pizza. (Note, to be fair, 3 Brothers Pizza is good also, but a bit far afield.)SUGGESTION FOR TOPPINGS: My favorite pizza was at the now-defunct The Bib (on Gun Lake) : grilled chicken-walnuts-blue cheese. Yes, melted blue cheese. This was a great pizza, and no other place has it. So, Papa Mineo's (if you're listening) please add this specialty pizza to your menu.

Love supporting small business and these guys do it so well! The pizza is so much more authentic than anything you'll grab at a chain place. The sauce is such a powerful taste and plenty of cheesy goodness! The cheesy breadsticks are flavorful as well! Crazy bread can eat it's heart out. Definitely the best pizza place in Wayland.

S*** was chronic yo. I'd hit it again. Got take out so I can't speak to the other reviewer hating on the manager.
