“I think the food is the best among the nearby Korean restaurants. The people who serve are also friendly. Personally, I like Chicken Kkanpunggi the most, and I always enjoyed all the other dishes. I didn't go often because the location was a bit odd, but I was satisfied every time I went.“

“I normally order the amazing shrimp roll with the dumpling soup. I ordered while sitting in the parking lot. Always, friendly and fast service. However, this time the soup was cloudy(normally clear like broth) and the dumpling taste was gooey/pastey like everything else inside. Times in the past I've ordered this soup, it's bright, fresh, slight crunch of the vegetables and soothing to the stomach(not this time)....I don't know if it had been sitting too long prior to being served but I hope this was just a one time failure. Other than that, this is a good clean establishment.Parking: I have not experienced any issues with parking.“

“It was my first time there. I got the marinaded short rib and the thin sliced brisket. It was delicious! I was a bit nervous having to cook it myself but it was super easy short ribs where done like 3 minutes on each side with a cracking hot pan with butter. Brisket cooked even quicker. I didn’t care for the sides to much. Just not my cup of tea. I felt the portions could be bigger for the price. I easily ate the short ribs by myself for lunch. Then the brisket for dinner. It was about 72 dollars and I picked it up. The meal was ready when promised as soon as I walked in the door.The hostess Nicole was awesome! She packed up everything really nice for the ride home. She also took the time to explain what everything was and how to cook it. Thanks! I’ll be back again sometime.“

“We had the chicken sandwich- which I found to be made really well, the only downside was the bun had a sticky layer on top which people who don't like having messy fingers will probably not enjoy. My husband had the bulgogi box and really enjoyed it.“

“I was skeptical to try this place due to the prices, however I took a chance and was NOT disappointed. I got the Korean beef and white rice. The meat was high quality and the rice was cooked perfectly. The portion sizes for one meal were easily enough for 2 people.I was greeted as I walked in and the server on duty immediately went to retrieve my order. I was inside maybe 3 minutes after placing an order online.I wish there was a half size available for this meal, but overall my experience here was much better than many other restaurants in the area.The service and food are top notch, try this place.“

“Food was great! Very authentic Korean and good sushi too!We got the hot stone bowl bibimbap, jajang, and steamed dumplings. We also had rainbow rolls and tuna rolls. Everything was very tasty! Portion sizes and prices were as expected and competitive with other Korean restaurants we’ve eaten at in Michigan.Service was great and we were checked on several times throughout our meal.We also enjoyed the opportunity the purchase Korean snacks as we were checking out.We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Novi!“

“Great food, the perfect ambiance for a date night or a girls night. The 2 person meat platter with kimchi here was really tasty and is such a large amount of food. This was my first time at Dae Jang Keum and I would say it was a great dinner. The owner helped us with cooking our platter and was our server was stellar she provided excellent service. I will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant, we really loved it. Dae Jang Keum is a must try!!!“
