Everything about this restaurant was awesome. I loved my waitress & she only been working about 1 week & she was so good. My waffle flight was so good. You can ask for the waffle flight because it's not on the menu. I had a Blueberry mimosa for the first time & it was delicious ? next time I'll try the fish & grits because the other lady I was with said they were delicious.

Terrible experience. The wait times for the seating as well as the wait times to get food after it was ordered was beyond outlandish. Customer service was abysmal and unprofessional. I’m more upset because it was my wife’s bday and we came from NC and was expecting to enjoy brunch there. We decided to give this location a try because a friend of the family stated food was good. The food was sub par at best. My mother stated that she wasn’t happy with an item, a waffle to be exact due to there being an issue with the batter. An employee confirmed that it was an issue with the batter and apologized. We spoke to multiple managers because we wanted that item removed from the ticket. They all stated nothing could be adjusted even though the item wasn’t eaten but it was returned, not once but twice. I’ve never heard of anything like that, ever. The bday was ruined due to individuals not having a level of empathy and awareness to tending to the customer. We had a party of 8 and spent 400+ just to be mishandled completely unacceptable. Me and my family for sure will not be returning to this establishment.

First time here & received bad customer service (party of 7). I don’t usually leave reviews. However, there were too many nasty attitudes floating around. Food took forever to come out & made me pay full price for a meal (lobster & grits) that I only ate a little of until I discovered the lobster tail had not been cleaned. Black and slimy all in the tail. They ran out of lobster so there was no remake of it. Not once did I become irate or have an attitude and I made sure I was Intentional about that. I won’t be back. This establishment needs training on how to display the proper disposition, especially to customers who aren’t even being rude to them and are just trying to reach a resolution/accommodation in reference to receiving a pleasant service.

I absolutely loved the food and the customer service! However, I did not enjoy the wait time for the food to be served . We waited over an hour to get our food but it was well worth the wait. I definitely will be back, hopefully we do not have to wait as long again ☺️Also, I got the fried lobster and Grits and for the price I paid there should have been a little more meat but the grits were ?.

Don’t go here. If I could’ve given 0 stars I would. Went with a large party and the service was terrible, food was overcooked with a range of temperatures, and the management/staff is rude/disrespectful. After waiting over 2 hours for as table, we were seated with whom we thought was a decent server. We ordered our food, and then waited at least 30 minutes until 1 person’s food came out. We were told everything else was being plated. Another 30 minutes goes by, and two sides of eggs and another person’s food came out but still nothing. Where was our server?? In outer space as far as we know because he never came back. Finally we got up and asked and were told that a fryer went down and that’s why everything was taking so long (but there was no communication of this happening until after we asked). After over an hour of waiting the food finally came out. Grits were cold, some fried items were piping hot while others were warm and some cold. Other fried items were overcooked and dry. Then there was an issue with the bill which staff refused to correct, gave a thousand of non existent reasons for why they couldn’t/wouldn’t correct it, and responded with nasty attitudes and blatant disrespect (I mean they were ready to full on fight us). At one point, a server can over and said “What’s the hold up?” Like basically, why aren’t you leaving because we said we aren’t fixing what you asked. The worst part is the owner was sitting there the entire time and never once spoke up, intervened, or corrected the staff for their behavior. I would NEVER go here again and caution anyone who would that you might have a great time or you might get cold food, nasty attitudes, and charged gratuity for service you didn’t receive or was trash.

The food was okay, service wasn’t the best.. service was OK but could have been more attentive. The chicken was good! But the eggs were horrible. The Peach cobbler waffle was also good. Overall..The level of service did not match our bill.

Visited on 4/14 for a friends birthday. Just 2 of us… waited an hour to be called back to be seated, that was fine. Waited another 20/30 to have our order taken by Eddie, that was fine. About 30 min later my food arrived.. my friends didn’t. Another 10/15 min went by my friends food had still not arrived. Eddie apologized said it would be rushed and offered a shot of tequila for our inconvenience, but never came back with said shot. 1 hour later… my friend never got his food! My food was barely touched and cold due to me attempting not to be rude and just eat… awful, awful experience!! Do not recommend!

This place is not what it’s all hyped up to be. I had a party of 6 and was told that reservations were not accepted. After waiting for 2 hours, my party was finally seated. We weren’t able to be seated together as the business would not allow us to push the tables together. We asked to sit up against the wall where the “we love mimosa” sign is and were told that seating was only for 2 party seats. 30 minutes after my party was seated, someone finally asked if we have been waited on and the answer was no. Once the waitress came to our table, she said that all 6 of us could sit along the wall where the “we love mimosa” sign is. When all 6 of us moved to that area, a Caucasian lady came to our table and told us to move back to where we were sitting. Her and the waitress went back and forth and the Caucasian lady who said she was the kitchen manager insisted that we move back to the previous table due to the tables we were at being for 2 seat party’s. The kitchen manager was told that if we get up again, we’re leaving and that they would be missing out on our business. The kitchen manager told us to do as we please. So, we left and WONT be coming back. We asked for the owner and the kitchen manager told us that the owners was out of town and that she didn’t know when she would be back. The service is too horrible to be charging a 20% gratuity per check.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess that seated us right away. Our server was a delightful and attentive young lady named yonce (not sure of the spelling.)Drinks: The drinks we ordered were not overbearing and perfect for a mid-day refresher.Food: With a resonable wait time, the presentation was on point and the food was delicious. However, the okra was a tad bit salty. My suggestion would be to go easy on the seasoning after the okra is fried, but the okra was still incredible. The salmon croquettes and grits were delightfully special and perfectly seasoned.Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean, bright, and welcoming! I loved the decor! My only hangup was the mens bathroom was just a little unclean. I won't totally blame the restaurant for other people's inability to be clean and tidy. However, I would recommend having a staff member check the bathroom at least once an hour.I would definitely identify this wonderful place as the perfect brunch spot! Looking forward to a second visit! Keep up the good work!Law and Kar

This was our first time. The food and service was very good. We had the seafood omelet with grits and the catfish sandwich with potatoes.

The food is okay but its overpriced. Our food, omelettes and potatoes, was received approximately one hour after we ordered it. The service is subpar. There isn't an incentive to provide better service because a 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill regardless of the party size. More importantly, beware of the servers who try to "trick/slick" you into paying an additional tip, using their payment machine, as if the 20% gratuity isn't already applied to your bill before you receive it. That is what our server tried to do. My time there clearly showed black people support the restaurant. The restaurant needs to better serve its patrons.

I ordered the vegan French toast - not because I’m vegan, but because I have an egg allergy. I’m always excited to see vegan options on a brunch menu with my allergy.Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction shortly after leaving this restaurant and this was the only food I had today.I never leave bad reviews for Black owned restaurants but honestly this place tried to kill me. I tried calling the number listed online and no one answered (and the mailbox was full). Please be cautious eating here if you have allergies/sensitivities.
