The place needs maintenance. The floor was sticky as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, the walls were old and the table was moving. The flavor of the chicken is delicious and those who serve are very friendly.

After seeing Gus’s on Channel 2 News yesterday, I was excited!I love chicken dinners!I called to ask about the different offerings and the woman refused to even attempt to answer my questions so I figure they must be very busy.So I went there in person and low and behold…Not even one car in the parking lot!These guys after all that free publicity won’t even try to be helpful?Thanks for nothing Gus!I’m going back to KFC and I won’t be coming back!

Went here for my niece's birthday. It was pretty good, but I'm not sure I'd go back. Nothing really stood out to me about the chicken. The atmosphere was alright, but it could probably use some updating. Bruh, it's fire. First time trying it chicken is amazing and I recommend the beans. Not usually a beans guy but these were perfect, kinda spicy kinda sweet it was great. I was mad they forgot my hot sauce but once I ate realized I didn't need it.

Literally the best fried chicken you're going to get anywhere the sides can be kind of small but everything here is tasty. I've eaten at this location many times now and the food is great everything's fried fresh you have to like spicy chicken or order the tenders if you want just a little heat.

Happy new year!! As backstory I have been to 4 Gus's including the original. This location is in the suburbs near Detroit. Hours are minimal. Til like 8-9pm even on weekends so i have always done carryout or grubhub delivery. Its known for chicken. Get the chicken. Just like down south its served with a slice of bread. Reminds me of Sunday dinners at my Grandmas house. So why 3 stars? Because I have been to other locations i know Gus Fried Chicken. Its got a spice to it that no other spot can replicate. Somehow its tone down here. Just not the same. Good chicken, not great. Twice they were out of something I ordered. No call or contact for substitute. Desserts not bad at all but i don't remember them so that's not good. If you are in/around the airport area check it out but.. If you are in Memphis area check out the original location and let me know what you think

Stopped here today accidentally but once I got there was truly amazed. Had heard of Gus's chicken was thinking I was stopping at another establishment. Has a very nice atmosphere, small setting but very nice, friendly with a bar and the food, OMG that chicken when I say spicy and good.

Excellent balance of savory and spicy chicken! I especially like their new sandwich. Nice low key place for either dine-in or takeout with great service. I've eaten hear many times over the past several years and it's been solid every time.
Ordered the tender meal and it was more like a kids meal. The tenders were tiny! And sides are not all the hype. Not my first choice of “world famous chicken”. Environment pretty dingy and could use some TLC. Service is slow, you’re always put on a long hold when you call because there is only 1 worker working the floor and counter.

Their food is disgusting. The chicken was too spicy and too high in sodium. Very salty. All their sides were canned and nasty. Nasty greens, nasty Mac and cheese, the okra was burnt and hard. Horrible dinner for Christmas. Never ever again.
