Wow! Just wow! First of all I decided on sushi because I couldn’t seem to make up my mind on what I wanted to eat. Go figure right? And I am sooooo glad I got sushi! I ordered something simple that’s one of my fav since I’ve never been here. Let me tell you!!! The moment I took a bite from my salmon nigiri, the tenderness from the salmon was enhancing every delicious bite! I mean it just melted in my mouth! THEN! I had the salmon avocado roll. Simple yet so scrumptious! The rice was as fresh as Mr.Clean! The salmon was inticing with every bite of avocado, it’s like my mouth was just having a ton of food gasms because the quality was that amazing! We live in holland and this was definitely worth the drive for! 100/10 I recommend and will def try again.

Mushy sushi, soft shell crab was horrible in one of the rolls, payed 100+ dollars for something I can assure you wasn’t worth 45 dollar. Too much sauce, too much toppings, 3 out of 4 of our rolls were simply soggy. Since when is sushi soggy? Especially for the price. The best thing about this place was our waiter if it wasn’t for her… 1 star.

Absolutely delicious. We went here with another couple and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the plates were nice.We decided to split 6 specialty rolls between 4 people with some soup and apps. We way over estimated how hungry we were as well as the size of the pieces. We ordered the Audi, Pokemon, Fantasy, We own the night, Gaelic, and the volcano. They were all wonderful with my personal favorites being the WOtN and the Audi. The rolls were significantly larger than anticipated. With the complexity of the descriptions, they don't aim to stuff it into a tiny piece but instead make it bigger. Both the size of each piece as well as the number of pieces felt 15-20% larger than expected.Only issues I had was some of the saucier rolls, the volcano and the gaelic had some weak points where the sauce seeped into the rice too much and integrity of the roll started to fail. Not to the point of falling apart but it did require a gentler touch.9/10 would recommend

Unfortunately tonight was the last time we will be going here :/We love the sushi here cause it’s so good but EVERY single time we get takeout, my husband is waiting for over 30 minutes longer than when they said it would be ready! Tonight, over an hour wait!!! And they gave him a free coke?? I’m sorry but the worst customer service ever!!!

I was blown away that there's a sushi restaurant here in Grand Rapids of this quality. Definitely a notch above the typical, predictable version of sushi you normally find in the midwest or anywhere outside of a large city. Very chill, pleasant atmosphere, excellent service and the freshness and variety of fish was superb. My new favorite restaurant in GR

Horrible experience, just came out for a good shushing night with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day and the j my good thing I can say was the the food was good. It took an hour and a half to get out food while people that came in after us were eaten and paid almost instantly. Then took 2 hours and 15 minutes for my last rolll so my boyfriend had to wait another 45 minutes to eat his last roll to just be able to eat together. The have a free soda for the inconvenience but I don’t think that even matches with the inconvenience that we received.
I ordered carry out and had to wait over 30min for my food, after the scheduled pickup time. Never again.

We are obsessed with the stuffed jalapeños— if you don’t like too spicy like me they’re not too hot just super flavorful and fun.Recent favorites include the Maui, A star is born, east Houston and Gaelic rolls.A low key mom and pop place that I highly recommend.

Beeman Okaasan was a very pleasant surprise! We typically drive across town to get sushi but decided to try because it was close to home and had good reviews. Everything about our experience was excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful. And everything was so clean and well taken care of. The service was great and so was the food. The sushi prices were comparable to others in town like Osaka or Tokyo Grill. We will be going back!

We tried a wide variety and couldn’t believe how good everything was. Not a single complaint! We had the ceviche, tuna poke, hot gossip roll, 12 & 69 roll, & a star is born and every thing. Omg I can’t even express enough how good it all was.
