I am not the customer that you want. Therefore I will not be your customer.. First impressions are everything. I moved here one week ago and this was my first Saturday night to have dinner in town. I'm here for cancer treatment and if you were to see me you would think there's definitely something wrong with that guy. I'm also an old man. I read the reviews prior to coming to the restaurant and made the decision not to partake of this establishment. I changed my mind. There was one review in particular where a man talked about how it looked like a fun place but he left because of the vibe. I concur that is my experience as well. I have been in recovery for 34 years. Can I sit at a bar? Yes. Would it tempt me? No. When a customer tells the host that they do not prefer to sit at the bar when the host and choirs are you dining alone with an attitude, it means just that, I don't want to sit at a bar. So I was regulated to a high top right next to the bar. Big deal. But the sons of unwelcome made such an impact on me that I could not get out of my mood. Kitty approached me at the table to take my order and I told her I needed some time to think. In the end I'd love. I am not going to spend 25 or $30 somewhere when from the get-go I am not welcome and seen as an inconvenience. Let's be honest tables of four are going to get you a lot more money than a table of one from an old senior citizen who's losing his hair from chemotherapy and most likely does not have a huge appetite. Can you download The host really really ruined it. No hello no thank you no enjoy yourself no houses table. Just nothing. Just a frown and a scowl because I would not sit at the bar. Good luck to kidding I think she's better than this place.

Bartender wasn't very friendly or accommodating. Food portions are smaller than before. The menu has been downsized. Made a point to frequent this place before when we came to town. Definitely will have second thoughts before we go there again.

This honestly would have been a 5 star review had it not been for the GM Chuck. This was clearly a day where the restaurant was displaying, what many restaurants are facing these days, a shortage in staff. There was literally 1 waiter, 1 seater, and the chef. The waiter was tripling for bartender, waiter, and runner , however, John couldn't have been more exceptional. He apologized for the wait, made some amazing drinks (i got the blueberry lavender lemonade and added tequila ) and brought out some AMAZING FOOD. i got the Brussels and the spicy bowl (hold the swine no ), and ooohhhwer was it good. The assistant manager Theo, was very understanding of our complaints because we really wanted to talk to Chuck personally to express our distaste for his rude behavior, condescending attitude, and just overall piss poor demeanor. Chuck, in my opinion, shouldn't be working in hospitality because he doesn't, have a heart for people. To watch his staff suffering but still making the best, while he acted as if he didn't want to be bothered, is extremely unacceptable. I would say, secondly come here, except when Chuck is here.

John was an amazing server. Me and my family came from out of town and were looking for a new spot to try and John made us feel so welcome. The manager Chuck was extremely rude and condescending. All he did was run our food and he made us feel as though we were doing him and disservice and wasting his time. He also was on the side texting on his phone while the restaurant was extremely understaffed instead of stepping in and helping out his staff that were clearly in the weeds. Thank God we had such an amazing server definitely request John the next time you come in! But Chuck needs to be fired effective immediately.

1st visit to Ypsilanti location. Very bad experience, seriously really bad. All thanks to the short female bartender with the black knit winter hat. I was sat near the bar. I ordered a drink and appetizer. After my drink and appetizer were finished, my empty plate sat to my left and my empty cocktail glass sat to my right at the edge of the table. I waited to reorder a drink and dinner, and I waited some more...After watching 2 bartenders serving drinks and food at the bar and surrounding tables, finally the bartender stopped at my table and ask if I wanted another drink. I ordered a 2nd drink and I waited. After waiting a good amount of time, seeing the same bartender continually by my table, I gave up. I stopped the bartender in her tracks , canceled my drink order, and asked for the bill. After waiting I got my tab, paid, and left. To the management I'll say this is highly unacceptable. The place was not busy. It was 3 p.m. That bartender should be pulled off the schedule and retrained or terminated. I have no intention to return to such a horrible place with such unsatisfactory, terrible service

Food was good! Didn’t enjoy the vibes, ended up taking my food to go. My sever was sweet. Fun and trendy place. Can’t say I’d go again.

Vegetarian options: I loved the impossible burger. It was dee-lish. I would've liked the beer on tap to be a little more chilled, TBH, but I was DELIGHTED that they had options for vegetarians and vegans which went beyond the proverbial 'salad' (which is just 90% lettuce, spinach, and Kale in most restaurants).

Had brunch here one Sunday and it was so very good. I got the Uncle Jesse skillet. Dukes of Hazzard or Full House Uncle Jesse? Doesn't matter. Delicious. The coffee was good, too. The only thing that would make this place better is smaller (less expensive) portions so you can get a tapas-style brunch. I would definitely love a smaller skillet so I could also get one of their super-dessert-like pancake creations, too.
