This place is mind-blowing! So authentic. The food was fantastic in a way I don't even have words for! The food was flavorful, and delicious. The yucca root fries were so amazing! Crisp on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth soft on the inside. The Salvadoran Horchata was the perfect amount of sweet and spices. The pupusas were exquisite. Everything I had was stellar.I can't wait to get back there!Service was wonderful, too. All the staff were smiling, happy and so kind!I'm going to bring everyone I know here.

Encuentro Latino has excellent food at a great price! We started with the hot corn drink, which I highly recommend on a winter day in Michigan, it's almost like a meal by itself. We also shared a plate of fried plantains and for the entree I got the chapin combo, which includes a papusa, churrasquito, and garnacha of your choice.

Love this place. The food is great, and always delicious. The service is friendly and quick, and the down home atmosphere is very comfortable. We go here on a regular basis, and it never disappoints! Everything is good, but the Tortilla de Harina is our favorite.

Many times I ordered here and the food was great. However this last time I ordered it tasted like SOAP. I genuinely wish restaurants would STOP using synthetic perfume smelling cleaners. I've come across this a number of times from other restaurants and food trucks. It is DISGUSTING imo. Please use an ORGANIC CLEANER THAT DOES NOT HAVE SYNTHETIC CHEMICALS AND PERFUMES. These synthetic cleaners do not rinse out well. And please stop using plastic in the kitchen because plastic is porous and retains those substances. Use stainless steel bowls, platters, cutlery, and either glass or wooden cutting boards. Plastic and synthetic soaps make your food taste like SOAP and cause people to ingest small amounts of poison.

These were overall good. They had flavor but not a lot of filling in the inside. Most of the time the crust is a little thicker and it more filling, but not these. They were a little different from usual, but not bad. I wouldn't personally come here again only because I can find better empanada's. The ambiance was ok , nothing fancy. I didn't dine in but they had them ready fast.
Guatemalan goodness is served here. If you want a good variety try the Chapin dish with 1 of each. Empanadas are super flaky with a philo dough texture. The space was a former diner with booths, super small but cute. Very friendly staff. No liquor licence but they have excellent, non-alcoholic bebidas.
