French quarter is located in a rough strip mall area. Yet, occasionally, I still brave it, for the spicy chicken legs and Mac and cheese. If only, I didn't have to get out of the car and run the gauntlet. I have occasionally been threatened by the local peps hanging out in the lot.Parking: Dangerous, pack your bullet proof vest.

I am very pleased with the quality and service the staff provided. I ordered a full tray of Macaroni and Cheese, it was hot and ready to go when I arrived. The Macaroni and Cheese was great. Everything I tried was very good. Nice and Hot.

Went in tonight it was loaded with chicken that looked very overcooked and like it had been sitting there quite a while. The last few times my dad's been here that's what it's looked like. Time to find a new place to buy chicken. Very sad used to be the best chicken around
The yams looked very old and dry. I asked for fresh yams I saw the man go in the back and just stir the old ones around and brought them back out. I Saw you... they just gave me old yams.

Enjoyed amazing soul food for a very awesome price. The red beans and rice were fire!!! Also I had the sweet potato pie and wow tasted almost as good as grandmas!!!! The okra was fried perfectly and the yams omg!! I would highly recommend this place!!!

Lovely husband and wife team cooking up all the "soul" food staples (Mac and cheese, collard greens, beans, fried chicken, corn bread etc) just no flavour. Everything looks delicious but then again looks are deceiving. Chicken was beyond dry, pinto beans has a strange taste like too much bay leaves and Mac and cheese was off. I wanted to love this place as I have a penchant for Cajun food. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. 3 stars for the service alone. I threw out majority of the food.
