One of my favorite bbq spots! The entire family loves it. I'm sure everything is great but I can't bring myself to not order the brisket and pork just because I know how delicious they are! And don't forget the brussel sprouts.Edit: My review was for Red Rock that was here previously. Apparently a new business opened and somehow kept all of the previous restaurant’s feedback. I have not been to Bitter Truth yet.

this place was shuttered and I was not sent any notification and therefore I had no reservation. We had to quick find a place which was not easy since it was graduation weekend. I also hold open table responsible for not knowing or notifying me as well that the restaurant was closed.

Please don't close permanently. I recently saw an article that listed the best barbecue restaurant in every state and you guys took Michigan. I really hope everything works out. The foods always great.

Been to RR several times since it opened. The food has always been tasty. The service has been up and down. Our most recent visit was over the weekend. We were surprised by the increase in pricing and the ala carte menu. 1/2 slab, 1/2 pulled, 3 sides, 1 beer, 1 soda - $62. The service was below expectations. Three servers and eight 2-4 top tables. We ordered two beers, waited 15 minutes, server came back with my beer and tells my wife they don't have her beer, so she opted for soda. Food arrived in a timely manner. We never encountered our server again until she brought the bill. She didn't come back and ask how the food tastes. She didn't ask about more drinks. We ate the second half of our meal with just water. She walked past us twice while going to the patio and we clearly had empty glasses. It would have been nice to hangout and drink a few beers. I doubt we will be back.

We love sitting in the patio here! Drinks are always good. Service can be slow at times, but we don’t go out to eat to rush so it doesn’t bother us much. We love the Mac n’ cheese; you can add items a’la carte too!

I had the Red Rock cater my wedding and the food was absolutely amazing!! I had so many compliments from my guests and now husband. The catering staff was very easy to work with and made my wedding stress free. I would definitely recommend Red Rock to cater for a party!! Best decision!

Loooove this place in the sense that everything tastes great! Love the bbq chicken salad and the Buffalo Mac and cheese. Both of these items are a bit over priced for what they are and unfortunately they raised their prices even more through the pandemic.Update. Best happy hour in ypsi. Burnt ends and Brussels are SO GOOD.

It was expensive for what you get. To much rub on the ribs to my liking, and the pulled pork was dry. The brisked had no break but a stretch. If you no barbecue you'll know what I mean. The service. Was good though. Oh and the smoke chicken wings were not crispy.

My son picked this place. My wife got 1/4 pound brisket, my son and I got the 1/2 chicken. The chicken was very juicy and cooked perfect. My wife loved the brisket, decent amount for 1/4 pound. We also got cheese curds and sweet potato fries, both good. The service was good, you can park across the street for free or in the back is a parking lot. Beer is 1/2 off for happy hour. We’ll come again.

It was a busy Saturday night and they were short-staffed, but the three employees kept their cool and were very professional. Food was delicious, too!

Went during lunch and it was pty and quiet. Wait staff went above and beyond helping me with gluten free suggestions for medical reasons. Everything tasted made from scratch. I like their baked beans. I'd eat there again.

Our waiter was very helpful. He brought several beer samples to help us select our beverages, and had good suggestions for food as well. The food came out pretty quickly and was really good!

Large portions of food. The server was polite and helpful. We went on a weeknight. The business was not slammed busy. We had a party of ten. Four meals were incorrect. If took an hour and fifteen minutes to get our meals after placing the order. The prices were expensive for what you got. The meals do not come with sides. Therefore a sandwich or salad for $18 will add another $5 to $8. I will not go back again.

Not sure if they changed management again recently but after their Mac & Cheese fiasco, I thought they had stopped making weird decisions.I tried to place a pickup order today and they seem to have completely revamped their menu over the last few days and no longer have many of their staples like the pretzel bun, The Miracle Burger, the Tipsy Ypsi.I asked if they had an updated menu that I could see and they said they did not. I really hope they figure out what they are doing, I love their food but their service is very inconsistent.

Let me begin by saying I am from Texas which sets the BBQ bar real high. This is good BBQ but not Texas good BBQ. All the meats we tried were very good, but a bit dryer than I am used to. Also note that I am keto so don't eat sauce. If you sauce these up you will probably love them. I think for BBQ in a northern town this was pretty good. But if you are from Texas you might be a tiny bit disappointed. Staff was great, service was good and beer was really cold. Give this place a try and see what you think.
