Tacos are amazing!!! And authentic, I believe. Tried to find the truck once outside of Wide World Sports Center during stated hours, but was unsuccessful. Not sure the trick yet to track the truck down. However, they do also have scheduled pop-ups at Mothfire Brewery and HOMES Campus which are great opportunities to get these tacos! (Both Mothfire and HOMES publishes their food truck schedule weekly! I find it on their Instagram pages.) Tried a few tacos and a quesadilla and will say the tacos are definitely the standout IMO. Seems like you really can't go wrong with any flavor/meat. Tacos come with onion, cilantro, lime, and a little bit of salsa on the side. Super tasty and flavorful meat. Absolutely recommend! I don't think they take credit card but do take Venmo in addition to cash.

Any time I see Tacos El Mariachi Loco outside of 734 Brewing I need to stop. The mushroom tacos and empanadas are so good and made to order (I get them without cheese). Very consistent anytime I go. Decent prices too. Definitely one of my favorite local food trucks!

Food is very good. No change in the quality of food. They have 2 different trucks. One is red colored. The other one is black colored, and older. I have had only positive experiences with the red truck when it is open (it does have an issue with unpredictable open hours/locations, but I can live with that for a food truck).I had a negative experience with the other, black colored truck at wide world of sports. I waited for like 20 minutes, despite being the first in line (behind someone picking up a called in order). The man charging the guy picking up couldn't get the credit card machine to work, which added to the delay. I left.:( Food: 5/5 (hence the strong review); Ease of placing an order in a reasonable amount of time for a food truck: 2-5/5, depending; Ease of locating the truck(s) on any given day: 2/5 (their facebook page sometimes has updates).

Burritos were amazing but we had a tough time with the dude who was working there. Poor guy spoke zero English and didn't understand how to work the credit card POS system. We spent a lot of time trying to explain our order to the guy, which he seemed to really struggle to understand. Owners need to be more aware of the skills of their employees.

Ya know...it only takes one boo-boo for a taco place to turn me off. In recent take-out times, I have had my heart broken by my favorite places for this or that and have been looking around (kind of) for a new decent taco place. Actually, the day I found Tacos El Mariachi Loco, I was looking for a decent quesadilla. Something simple, cheesy and easy to eat, not deep fried. This is really how I discovered this place! Just 'quesadilla' and 'Ann Arbor' in the Yelp search. Friendly, with attention to detail...like you don't expect from a food truck! These guys are here all year, sun or snow and are worth the treasure hunt to find them. They are in the parking lot of Wide World Sports, so just go in like you are going to that place. Then follow your nose! The meat on the tacos was clean and not full of nasty gristle, the cheese in the quesadilla was ooey and gooey like I wanted it. The chicken was all white meat, with a perfect texture. Their side sauces are pretty good, not super spicy. Their prices are the best part...you will be full all day from just a few tacos and not much dent in your wallet. Their churros are probably the dulce de leche filled ones from food service wholesaler Restaurant Depot- but they *are* good. Worth getting...hot and yummy. I dip mine in the hot sauce!

This place is AMAZING!! Everything we ordered was so good. I can't imagine anything they make is bad. Their ingredients are fresh and well balanced. Ordered an al pastor, campechanos and carnitas tacos - all were excellent. The Piccadillo empanada was so good. I should have ordered more! You have to get a churro.
