What a gem of a place! We walked in as total strangers and left feeling like family. Both the servers and the locals were very kind. The kids enjoyed the huge pancakes! When we got in the car to leave, they said, "Mom, it's just like Truckstop!" Truckstop is a children's book about a diner where the owners know the name of everyone who comes in and what they want to eat. Downtown Diner is just like that! Thank you for your hospitality and excellent food.

This is a very divey diner. It was very casual. The employees were very friendly and good to our kids. My husband had the special of the day (some sort of meat platter), I had French toast and bacon and the kids had pancakes. Everyone was happy with their meals.

This diner is little in size, but BIG on personality. My daughter and I enjoyed our breakfast this morning, but the comrade between the occupants was the best!!! Everyone was so friendly and they were all thoroughly enjoying each others company. I highly recommend the Carmel pecan roll!!! So delicious!!

Don't let the size of this place fool you, it isn't the size of the building that makes the restaurant, it is the people who operate it that makes the restaurant.If you are looking for a truly authentic mom & pop style homestyle cooking restaurant, this is the place for you.Everything from the pulled barbecue chicken sandwiches to the spaghetti to the hot beef sandwich to the many other menu items especially the breakfast menu items are amazingly awesome and the service makes you feel like you are right at home.
