Pull up to the front door at 10:20, the man inside seen us pull up, walked to the door and locked it. Sign on door said they close at 11:00 being a friday night. Guy threw his arms up like too bad, never have I ever experienced this in all the years I have patroned here. I won't be returning to this establishment ever again.

This is a tale of two pizzas. We had perhaps the worst taco pizza we've ever had. The sauce was sweet for our taste, there was little cheese and it was not even served with sour cream. However, the house special more than made up for it. That was a great pizza with balanced flavor and a nice crust. The homemade sausage was fantastic. The atmosphere is ordinary small town pizzeria, but the service was prompt and friendly. There is competition in town, but this place can compete.

George's is an institution in Austin. I grew up in the area and it was always a treat to go there. Now, whenever we visit, we find ourselves juggling schedules around to make sure we can go to George's. The George's Special is my favorite. Fantastic pizza!
Use to love the pizza gondolas great did they change the way they make pizza. Very disappointed Steve's will be my pizza place sorry. Bad pizza

Great pizza! Love that they still have a place to let kids watch pizza being made!! We are from the Chicago area and it is pretty neat to be able to get decent pizza in such a randomn place!

I have been team George's forever. But for sometime now it is not the same. I usually order the House Special which would come with a sausage on every slice. Now you are lucky if you get 6 on a large pizza.? Just order a pizza from Steve's and they still put a sausage on every slice. That equals 21 sausages on a large pizza. If George & Dino could see this, they would be disappointed. In general, the quality and care put into the making of the pizza has gone down. I hope George's can get back to what they were in the day. I look forward to doing business with you again one day.Kid-friendliness: They have a place for the kids to stand & watch them toss the dough and make the pizzas. I remember doing this when I was a kid.

My family stopped on our way from KS to Wisc and were very pleased. Our kids loved the pizza stand where they could watch the pizzas being made. They also loved the cheese pizza! My husband and I shared the George’s Special pizza and really enjoyed it. Great location. Friendly service.
