We had a group of six and a child eat at LARS for dinner and breakfast, and both times we had Brook as our server. Brook went above and beyond for our group. Always checking to make sure that we had everything that we needed, and we were always well taken care of. For dinner, we had a birthday that we were celebrating, and Brook surprised her with cake and ice cream. For breakfast, he knew we were about to drive home, and he made sure the kids had to go snacks and juices for the ride. Food was great, but service was exceptional. Will definitely back!

It was nice enough, but *very* difficult to find, tucked into the Renaissance Hotel and without a single sign outdoors. We sat in the bar, but it wasn't as conversation-friendly as I hoped with sports on 3 screens. The food was fine, but the service wasn't timely or attentive.

During my stay, there was only a single server bouncing around. She was great, stayed on her toes, and was super friendly. The food and drink were great. Nice when you don't have to travel far from your hotel after a long day. Absolutely a solid, upscale experience.

Pros: Our room was quite large and relatively quiet. Breakfast in the Club Lounge was peaceful, with a good selection of hot and cold food, and good coffee. Breakfast in the hotel bar/restaurant was not quite as good (probably because the food buffet was not being refreshed as frequently as it should be), but the hostess/waitress there did a spectacular job of taking good care of the guests all by herself. The bartender at night also was competent and friendly. Cons: On one day we left our room just after 11 am, and took the "do not disturb" sign off our door, in full view of the two housekeepers who were standing in the hallway near their cart. When we returned at 5:30 pm, our room had not been cleaned. We called the front desk to report the problem, but the man who answered was nonplussed, asking only "does anything need to be done now?" instead of apologizing and offering to have our room cleaned. To make matters worse, when we later complained in person at the front desk because we only had received clean towels and not had our room cleaned, the same male front desk clerk suggested that perhaps we had left the "do not disturb" sign on our door all day, which was not the case. So he was trying to falsely pin the blame on the hotel guest - the antithesis of good customer service. Our room had several problems. The water flow in the sink faucet in the bathroom was just more than a trickle, and the water pressure in the shower was only a slightly better mediocre. The air conditioner was extremely loud.

This hotel has a mixed vintage and contemporary look. It was completely renovated a few years ago. The room is spacious and the furnishings are contemporary. Nice shower and large counter. The lounge was open for members Monday to Friday. We received vouchers for buffet breakfast for the weekend as the lounge was closed. The lounge was built over the pool and gym. The hotel is great for couples and families.

Hotel was good! Rooms were clean, area felt safe and staff was very helpful. It was close to the location I needed to be which made it even more beneficial. I would stay there again anytime. I was disappointed that there weren't a lot of places to eat within walking distance, but I tried the hotel restaurant and it was really quite good and wasn't overly expensive.

Might be one of the best "in hotel" restaurants I have ever been to. I went on a Tuesday, no too busy and got sat immediately. I tried the Pepper Burger and it was delicious. I would order with extra aïoli next time, as the sauce was really good. I had tater tot's which were very fresh, seasoned perfectly, and yummy. For desert I tried the Cheese Cake. A little on the smaller size, but tasted awesome... could use more topping. Service was on point. The place had a nice mellow setting that was a nice ambiance and kind of calming, if that makes sense.

Great hotel, clean and modern rooms. The highlight was the delightfully pleasant host Joan May in the club lounge. JM is so professional and friendly. Her remembering everyone from one day to the next made me and other guests feel very welcomed. The staff at the restaurant and bar were also excellent. Customer service is done well here.

Location is great - near Minneapolis/St. Paul, Mall of America, Eden Prairie and plenty of food places close by. Was on 4th floor from Friday to Monday. Overlapped with youth sports teams over the weekend. So plenty of families and kids running around, but noise was not excessive and hotel staff seemed to have a handle on things (wiping up water from the pool, picking up stray towels, etc). Pool is larger than most hotel pools. Lobby has a outdoors/camping theme and there are plenty of funky, fun chairs to try out. There are also spaces and tables for families to gather and eat take out at (instead of trying to eat in their rooms). Rooms are cleaned daily but you can forgo the daily cleaning in exchange for extra hotel points.

The steak tacos and margherita flatbread are delicious!

Probably the most friendly hotel we have had toward a hockey team in years. Restaurant staff was friendly and accommodating. Pool was large, allowing kids to swim without being too crowded. It was nice to stay at a modern and fun hotel that was happy to serve its guests.

Was booked here for a weekend of volleyball. Our entire team was placed together on one floor, close to each other, which was nice. We loved that there was space for us to get together as a group, either in the lobby or the first floor had a space where we had food catered in. There is a breakfast buffet for $14.99, which was ok. A little pricey though. Our group did not use the pool, but it looked very nice, and large. Fitness center was great! Lots of good equipment. Only downfall was the room walls are paper thin. We could hear EVERYTHING in the room next to us, which was not pleasant. Rooms were clean, a little run down and dark. Our room had a microwave, but I'm not sure it was supposed to. It was just placed on the desk, not plugged in, and was beat up and dirty. Overall, this was a pretty good hotel, and we would come back.
