My phone map listed it as a lunch option. I picked it for the name. This was a winner. Nice sandwich shop. Hardy and warm sandwiches are available, not just cold cuts. I had a French dip with Swiss cheese and it was perfect. They have french fries that are cooked to order and they cook to perfection. The counter man noted my Angels baseball cap and tee and asked about my team, then told me about his (it is opening week of the baseball season.). It felt like a genuine care for connecting with his customers. He demonstrated that same genuine friendliness with everyone that came in while I was there. Everything was clean including the tables and booths. I love when food places have clean tables that are not at all sticky! I didn't look for or try a bathroom. I was reading a book and the counter man came by and took my tray even though there is a self serve trash can available and I had no expectation that anyone would take my trash for me. Oh, and did I mention how fast they were? All in all, this was worth the 19 minute detour I took to come here.

Great food! Some items were a little underseasoned, but the quality still showed through and everything was really tasty. The Mighty Buffalo sandwich was really great; not very spicy, but had a great buffalo sauce. Milkshakes were a little thin, probably won't order those next time.Online ordering is a bit of a mess, and missing some things (like soups, and fries!), and they even acknowledged this at the counter. But the staff was really friendly, very diligent about getting the food out correctly and quickly, and they were great about adding on some items at pickup. Also one of the few places these days you can order online and pay at pickup instead of at order time.Overall this was a nice experience, and I'm excited to come back and try some more!Vegetarian options: There was one sandwich that featured grilled Portabellas instead of meat. Didn't try it but it looked pretty good!

Love, love, LOVE their sandwiches and milkshakes! The only problem that I have is that their meatloaf is SOOOO good I don't try the others anymore, and the others are fantastic too. The chicken sandwiches are always fresh and delicious, but that meatloaf is cravable! The fries are good, but the soups are excellent. The seating area isn't huge, but it's comfy. The employees are always super friendly, helpful and produce a consistently great product.

We stopped in for lunch. The fountain soda selection is minimal with one out of order. The Sawmill was good but there was hardly any cheese. And the blue cheese dressing was very thin and ran all over. The Sawmill - I substituted Blue Cheese Dressing for the BBQ Ranch Rubbed with a sweet & smokey spice blend, grilled with crisp bacon slice, cheddar cheese, onions & our special BBQ ranch. Tuna Melt - it was okay but bland Baked Potato Soup - good A basic menu but there were a lot of enthusiastic customers.

one of best sandwichs I have had in a long time ! my husband saw a tiktok review someone else did and said it looked good we should give it a try and im so glad we did its a small place that unless you know its there you don't know its there.all around great experience and dam good food we will definitely be back!

I happened to be in the parking lot of Burnsville Center and came across Blue Ox Sandwiches in a strip mall on the south side. Family owned shop. Not trying to be anything fancy but executing sandwiches really well. They've got the normal cold cut sandwiches along with some grilled chicken and some deep fried chicken alternatives. I had a grilled chicken with Cajun seasoning, fantastic. The bun was on point not too much bread but enough to hold the sandwich together. A great sauce not really hot but spicy chicken. Delicious. This will be a must stop if I'm in Burnsville around lunch time.
