Everything perfection. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly assembled. I have had a LOT of sushi, and this was by far the best sushi place I have been to. The staff was kind and attentive. We will be back often!

5 stars for the ramen, house made soy sauce, and seaweed salad, 4 stars for the sushi and yaki soba. We came on a whim in a Friday night after running some errands and decided to try this place out. Plenty of parking in the parking lot right outside. Inside is modern and it smelled really good. We had the sweetest server who was bubbly and very helpful with the menu. I loved the spicy ramen. I definitely found my go-to ramen spot if I'm even remotely in the area. The broth is delicious-- deep flavor, hearty, good amount of spice that doesn't take over the whole dish. Its like a warm hug on a chilly night. The seaweed salad was fresh and crunchy and flavorful. They make their own soy sauce in house and it is really delicious. Not too salty and a great/light flavor. The sushi is good, don't get me wrong. But it lacked flavor somehow. It was clearly fresh and well made, just didn't pack a punch. The yaki soba with chicken was good. I liked the broccoli and chicken pieces with the sauce.

I have driven by this place a few times and finally stopped in to check it out. The place is very small, but I think the remodel was a good idea and makes it look very different than the previous restaurant that was in the space. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and taken to a table. It was a fairly packed place on a Friday night, which gave us hope the food would be good. When we opened the menu it was to our surprise there were a lot of sushi rolls to select and there was a variety. I found a lot of places in the area call themselves sushi restaurants, but crab is the main ingredient leaving very little room for creativity and flavor. This place has some creative rolls and ramen so we were off to a good start. We ordered the Samurai roll, which was priced on the higher side. I found that to be interesting as these are the type of prices at MPLS and St. Paul higher end sushi places. So price point and descriptions of the rolls we were hoping to be amazed. The roll was a very nice size, the fish was sliced very well and tasted fine. The only thing is the flavor of the roll I felt could have been a lot more powerful. I wanted a little more sauce and bigger jalapeño slices to make the roll come together. At that price point I just desired much more. However, it was still a good roll and I could see myself ordering it again, but would request extra drizzle of sauce and spice for sure. We also ordered the seaweed salad, spicy ramen and chicken yaki soba. I have to say I am not usually a fan of seaweed salad, but my dinner partner always makes me try it at every sushi place. This was probably one the the top two seaweed salads I have tasted. It was very flavorful and I found myself eating a fair amount of it. I would suggest ordering that as a starter. The spicy ramen was very good and had a nice kick to it. Everything came together in the dish and I would for sure order that again. The only complaint was the kitchen ran out of the the pork belly, but instead of informing us prior to serving, the dish came out with chicken instead. I found that to be pretty presumptuous that a diner would just take what you put on the table. Fortunately, we were okay with the swap, but I would suggest if they are out of something inform the person before you make substitutions and expect them to be okay with it. Lastly, the chicken yaki soba was cooked well and the vegetables were crisp and fresh tasting. The sauce was a little different than I had previously experienced at other places, but still good. I would say it wasn't the best dish of the evening, but it was also not a waste of trying and made good leftovers. Overall, I would return to this location as It is tough finding a decent sushi and ramen place outside of the cities. The one thing that caught me off guard a little was the super relaxed employees. One employee was coming in and out of the kitchen eating food, one of the sushi chefs was texting and I just prayed he didn't use those same gloves to make someone's rolls. Luckily he went on to cleaning after handling his cellphone since it was near closing. I mean sure people text and eat while working at restaurants, but doing it out in the open when you're not on break is not a good luck for an establishment especially when you're handling peoples food. In the end the food was good enough to return and our server was amazing in making sure we were taken care of and providing many suggestions on their menu. We enjoyed the visit and if you happen to be in the area and craving sushi or ramen worth a stop.

Had tonkotsu ramen for lunch. Only the broth was good. Other than that not so great. They need to watch Uncle Roger reviews Jamie Oliver making ramen.

Saw the hype on it on TikTok. I was in the area and thought about the place. Good selection on lunch specials. I ordered salmon kastu and spicy tuna roll. Salmon kastu was good. My spicy tuna roll was sad, tasted bland and the roll was not rolled tight.

Meaning to stop here for some time, but never made it until last night. Food was fresh. Every bite was a flavor bomb. The house soy sauce was amazing. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Can’t wait to come back again.

Definitely a good find! The pork ramen was delicious. Try the house soy sauce you won't regret it! The recipe is from Japan, tasty!

Overall experience was mediocre. The food is okay, but not worth the service or what they price each roll at. The front doesn't really seem have a host stand, so we asked the sushi chefs if we may be seated. There were 3 servers that assisted us that day. I mean, we had to ASK 3 different servers for our waters, check & to-go box at the end. It didn't seem there was any communication going on between any of the servers or host if there are any.. Because you'd have ask the server to assist you rather than them helping you. We were seated for about 10 mins before anyone even brought a water to us. Let alone acknowledging there were 2 people that got seated in the restaurants besides another family of 4. Then you'd tell them yes & the check... only for them to assist someone else. Then have another gal come & ask the same thing just to not come back to your table ever. Then we finally flagged down a different server & had to yell over to grab our check. If anyone wants to try a place w/ amazing service & delicious food, go to Yumi Japanese Restaurant @ Southdale or St Paul! - you spend just the same amount for better quality sushi grade fish

Wait for a long time on the table and no service at all. Definitely not recommend this place. We left and no one even notice.

The sushi was very well portioned and was delicious. I had the Minnesota and the Mango Crunch Rolls. Definitely would recommend. Also 1 sushi roll is enough to fill you up for sure which is awesome.

Used to love this place but they stopped offering the only thing we ordered- the combo meal where you can select 2 items. They also eliminated the miso soup. Bad bad changes. Will stop coming here until they bring those options back!!

Service and sushi here is consistently amazing. I like their basic and creative rolls. The protein portions are a really good size for the cost! I stand by my statement that this is the best sushi I've ever had, and I'm known for being a food snob by my friends. ALSO - their soy sauce is homemade and sooo good! If you're new to sushi or not sure what you like yet, this is a good place to check out! The menu has pictures of every roll, as well as a description. The staff are friendly and willing to make personalized recommendations! My alcoholic drink recommendation is the plum wine. It is sweet and complements the sushi well.

Mediocre food for the price. Fairly disappointed after a friend spoke so highly of this place. Service was also not the best and music is too overpowering in such a small restaurant
