I’m come to this location all the time and order online. I noticed it wasn’t the usually people working like always. Understandable it’s st pattys day.I ordered the deep fried chimichanga no seasoning on anything. Queso sauce was extremely watery.My other meal was a chicken chipotle quesadilla. There was no chipotle sauce. Had shredded chicken which is new was extremely gross. No cheese in it either. So basically I got dry chicken in a flour tortilla…I really hope this is a fluke. Cause I live coming here. Really hope it wasn’t because of something else.

Don Chon (formerly Taco Chon) is the best place I've found to get Mexican food around Burnsville. I'm from Phoenix, and I had great Mexican food there, so this reminds me of home. Everything is priced well and there there is a great variety. We eat here almost every Friday and love it. My favorite is always the Chipotle Chicken Burrito that you can get grilled or have it regular for $10.75. My wife's favorite is the Birria Taco Plate with consome for $12.50.Pro Tip: They have a salsa bar at no additional cost so fill up on what you need for there or to go. The mild salsa has a sweetness to it and is not very spicy. The Medium is not too spicy, but is really flavorful. The Hot is a a creamy and spicy sauce that has a little delayed heat. My favorite is to fill up a cup of Medium salsa and put a tiny amount of Hot on the top. I mix it around and it's perfect for me and has great taste.

I had placed an online order for pick up and upon receipt realized in my infinite intelligence that I placed the order at the barnsville location when I was in St. Cloud . I decided to drive to the St. Cloud location and roll the dice. The woman working (I did not catch her name ) I instantly jumped into action to try and help me. She contacted the other location and they approved filling my order In St. Cloud, the team hoped on it and filled my order asap. Driving home I thought wow that was some great customer service and the Juan from the barnsville location called me and made sure that I got my order and to call them if I needed anything else.Ive worked in retail my whole life and my wife worked as a server and I can contest that it is rare to receive the level of service I got but it was top notch.Not to be overshadowed by the five star service I got, the food was some of the best, authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. I’ve lived all over the us and to find this in MN blew my mind. I will definitely be a repeat customer and encourage anyone that has not tried them out to give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

Great family owned restaurant. They have an extensive menu, great food and excellent people. I'm partial to the chimichangas, my hubby loves the elotes and my kids love the quesodillas.
I love this place! The food is always really good and the service is usually really good as well! I haven't had anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend! The street tacos are awesome and so are the birria tacos!

Great food, great service! This is a neighborhood restaurant on the border of Apple Valley and Burnsville. Lots of great food options, but love the ceviche.

My husband and I tried Taco Chon's last night and this is the review to read. We are not basic foodies but actually know great food, have traveled Mexico extensively and have the palate to differentiate authentic Mexican food to mediocre Americanized Mexican food. This place it by far the best Mexican we have had in Minnesota. The Aguachile was fantastic. It is a must try. The heat from the peppers mixed with the cool of the shrimp, cucumbers and onions had us wanting more. Fabulous flavor and made to order. Nachos Locos had the right amount of meat and toppings so every bite was an explosion of flavor. The Birria Taco Plate was insanely delicious, tacos with the right amount of crunch to the delicious and flavorful consommé. The food was not the only surprise, we ended up chatting with the owners. Such great people! Such a great night with great food and wonderful owners!
