“We stumbled upon this place based on the wednesday night walleye special calling to us because we just returned for a visit to the Northwoods after a many year absence and craved fresh walleye. We were not disappointed. Simply pan fried and very tasty. The bar seemed to have mostly regulars, so we stood out and felt the eyes on us wondering who were these out of towners. The beer selection was consistent with a typical local watering hole, which is to say fairly paltry (unless you like lite beer).“

“They had just opened and not everything was "fast food" ready, still doing their setup. They were extremely busy but the two servers were moving and working well together. The cook in back was hoping but keeping up. My daughter and I were just traveling through on our way back from up north and this was open. We had lunch and shared a blizzard. Everything was hot and well cooked. The ice cream was a welcome cool treat. Kudos to the hard working team.“
