It is okay. Had lots of Korean over the years, and I would say this is more Minnesota-Korean. The bibimbop is good, the bilgogi is okay, not great, but the jopchai was under seasoned and lacking the usual strong flavoring you would get with the bilgogi etc. My expectation would be the bilgogi has a bit more of a bbq stickiness (not kalbi of course) but this was a bit watery and not as well marinated as I am used to. Steamed dumplings were good. I expect more Korean bean paste, soy, garlic, sesame and other puchy flavors I am used to. I was hoping for a bit more authentic delivery, but as I said it seems to be trying to stay more in the AmericanizedMinnesotanized linesVegetarian options: Korean is not a typical veg oriented cuisine, but they have tofu and noted veg optionsParking: In a strip mall area so fair amount of parkingKid-friendliness: Kids oriented dishes and menu areaWheelchair accessibility: Ramp/sidewalk access, but no automatic door, but can get a chair in and tables that will accommodate a chair

The food was great and lovely. My son and daughter both came here for their Birthday! My daughter became best friends with the owner. She came to the table to help us with our order! We had lots of fun here and this places is a good choice to eat!

Honestly I really good Korean place to eat at. The food was delicious and the service was good. I'm happy with what I received - not many people in the restaurant (2 families not including myself), ate about 10 minutes after ordering. Thank you for the food!Parking: Easy to find a spot right in front of the store.Kid-friendliness: Kids section of the menu and smaller portions available.

This place is so yummy! When the chef isn’t busy, she’ll come out and check on guests. She taught me how to eat the dish properly too!

Not sure how the place earned 4.6 stars but I gave it a try and felt this was rather an average place to have Korean food. Food was not bad but portions are small for the price. Long waits for the food to actually show but we assumed that there was only one cook so did not complain. 3 stars overall.

The most authentic Korean cuisine I've had in the U.S. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted fantastic. I'd highly recommend Bonsai to anyone looking for wonderful Korean food.

Went on a Sunday for dinner with my husband. The waitress was sweet, and the chef was such a kind woman. The food was amazing, and the portions were very large. I had the galbi and my husband had the fried rice. The plum wine was very good also. Will definitely make the drive again. Highly recommend.

We are not new to Korean cuisine.Nicole makes everything from scratch, including the bibimbop, small batch kimchi & marinades. Her Galbi (short ribs) & Kimchi are the best in the TC. It was a pleasure to be served by & talk with her sister Jia from Virginia.

I have been to every Korean Restaurant in the Twin Cities and this is my absolute favorite. Homemade Kimchi is delicious! I try and go here at least once a month. Highly recommend!
