There's nothing like nostalgia places compared to the office looking furniture that's in common use in restaurants such as McDonald's. Roman's Cafe is a timewarp of good times of the past.

First visit today. Only reason I went with just a 4 star review. Not really close to us, as we live in South Minneapolis area, Longfellow. Was looking for a new place for brunch, that we hadn't been to before. Good reviews on Yelp made it worth the drive North. It an old diner with a pretty complete menu. I typically go with a pretty basic breakfast when I try a new place, Doll always sticks to a veggie omelet. I went with the Polish Ranch. scrambled eggs, polish sausage, hash browns, and toast. All hot and very tasty, Doll loved the omelet. Great attention from our waitress, very attentive. Spoke to the owner before we left, really solid meal that we will come back for. Told him we dine out a lot, and his breakfast was a high winner.

Where to begin with Roman's Cafe? I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was comfortable and quiet. The decor was lots of fun, with classic diner feel and lots of photos western cinema and pop culture before the 1960s. You will also fine lots of snarky and playful signs that denounce rude behavior and ask hippies to enter in the back. They also support law enforcement.The food was excellent. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection and the buttermilk pancakes make the chain diners look and taste like cardboard. While not close to where I usually am, I want to come back.Superb!
Food was delicious and much better than the popular and overrated establishments. I would rather travel a little out of my way to Roman's than go to many places along 394.

This place is just incredible. Any time you want a cozy, homemade, guaranteed delicious breakfast, come here. The menu is extensive, they have every single breakfast craving out there, and everything is amazing! The pancakes are to die for, they are sweet, fluffy, the edges are a little crispy, just amazing. I always get an omelet and it is just so good ( I do egg whites sometimes too) and they are extremely accommodating! There are healthy options too which I really appreciate. The decor in there is also all over the place but I do love it for what it is. The service is always top notch, never have to wait too long! Definitely will always come here for a great bfast.
