“I've been working with Marlene & Fredrick for over a few months now to secure them as the caterer for a UMN event which just happened last night! Marlene is both kind & patient. To say that the food was a success would be a huge understatement! The food was AMAZING! The food was delivered very hot & on time! Thank you again, Marlene! I highly recommend them!“

“Food was very dry but tasted excellent. The skin on the chicken was nice and crisp. Jerk sauce was flavorful with a decent amount of heat to it. My takeout felt heavy. They give you a lot of food. I wish they had a boneless version of the chicken. Kinda felt like I got a third of the animal. The dryness of the chicken combined with the rice made it a little hard to eat. Also, other than some garnish, there are pretty much no veggies in this.Absolutely loved the beef patty. Definitely coming back for these. The coco bread is just Hawaiian bread. Not worth the price IMO.Atmosphere is chill and laid back. I can see this as a great place for a party. Whole place was deserted when I went though.“

“GREAT experience, and such good food! Everyone there was so kind -- both the employees and the patrons -- and we felt welcome and appreciated. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the beans and plantains, if you like spicy food; otherwise, the jollof rice with beef was very tasty! Definitely stop in if you're in the area!Vegetarian options: The beans and plantains were a fantastic vegetarian choice!Kid-friendliness: There was a little girl sort of wandering around the small dining room and no one thought twice about saying hello or waving to her.Parking: Easy, very close parking was accessible.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get in. I didn't see a wheelchair power door button, but the door was wide enough and the threshold was minimal. Inside the dining room, it wasn't so crowded that a wheelchair couldn't get around.“

“I was in the area for work and decided to go find a place to eat for lunch. Googled African cuisine near by and this place came up. The owner is very friendly, respectful and above all the food is delicious. I will be driving all the way back to Minneapolis this coming weekend from Wisconsin to get some food and takeout!!“
