Not sure what happened, I’ve eaten here many times but the last French dip and rest of the meal were absolutely terrible.Like , one slice of folded road beef? Cmon now.. the egg rolls were so burned they were not edible . Having worked in the industry I thought this was a joke . No joke. Would recommend fridleys kitchen but not cr.

Burger was under seasoned, bland, and soggy. tots were incredibly over seasoned but fried well. Staff doesn't seem to have a system set up for to go orders so I was left waiting around awkwardly and watched my food get cold, a cook from the kitchen helped me when that definitely wasn't her job.

Bradley is the "district" manager of the only 2 locations referred to his managers as too nice and he gets angry over that. Also said that the owner is an old retired man who wouldn't believe me anyways. So, if anyone knows the owner of Shortstop someone should let him know Bradley has some rude things to say about his boss I'll gladly share. I truly hope I can find the owner because he deserves to know that Bradley only thinks of him as an old guy that would only believe Bradley anyways. I have more respect for my elders than that. Also, that his manager lies about things that his managers didn't say. Hey Bradley? Do you hate all women or just when you call customers on a Friday night, sounding drunk and delusional? Also does the owner know you think so low of him? If not, he will! Welcome to 2024 Bradley, I think your owners opinion matters much more than you think! Ps Bradley called me from his personal cell phone so if anyone knows his boss I have his employees number. Even the Doordash customer service was laughing hearing the call from Bradley.Another edit* the general manager called me back and claimed that the manager said I threatened to call the police. I called the manager he blamed it and she denied saying that and hung up on me. I called Bradley back, who previously kept telling me I was irrational and that he doesn't believe customers and gets mad when his managers comp food. When I told him that I spoke to the manager at the location and she said she didn't say that, then he hung up on me.edited* I told the manager, or as she said said, she might not be the manager at all since she slipped up and said the manager is, then quickly stopped talking. my son is allergic to cheese and wrote it in the special requests and they completely ignored it and then hung up on me.The manager is rude. they screwed up my food on several items. she told me she was the manager then started talking in the third person. I asked why she did that and she made up a story. she said they NEVER CHECK TO GO ORDERS. I swear on my own life and my kids, she literally said "WE NEVER CHECK TO GO ORDERS" I was stunned. she blamed it on the cook and the employees and never once APOLOGIZED!!!! I was raised in the restaurant business and she was the worst manager I have ever dealt with. she kept interrupting me and then blamed me for interrupting her. she got mad every time I asked a question. I look forward to speaking with the owner or general manager about this because they will never get business again from us and will get 1* reviews on every website possible. Shortstops Friday manager is Karen, the definition of a Karen! she obviously hates her job because she kept telling me to call back tomorrow. I told her we ordered food because my husband and I both have COVID and she then told me if I wanted it fixed that I would need to drive up there, while I just told her I had COVID. I'm sure drunk people love her, but her not drunk people customer service skills are McDonald's level. I am shocked at how she speaks to someone who just paid over $100 for food. now to find the owner of the store and repeat this!

This place is one of my favorites to eat at around Lunchtime when its not entirely busy during the weekdays. If you want a quiet environment with good food this is it. I highly suggest coming before the late afternoon lunch rush as it tends to be slower.Whoever is cooking the food does a phenomenal job, along with the onion rings always being crispy. The server was also friendly as well and despite me eating alone and being relatively quiet was super friendly. 100% gonna be a new lunch spot!

We have a Monday night burger group that meets once a month in the winter and weekly in the summer. We ride our motorcycles in the summer. We have been disappointed with some of the places that offer 50% off burgers on Monday. Even though the burgers are regular price, I knew how great they are at Shortstop, I suggested we try it out. The group that went today, loved it! Our server Kristen, was an absolute gem! I will just have to convince the snow birds to go there come springtime.Food come out fast and tasted great! Kristen checked on us (we don't drink alcohol) many times throughout our stay. I, myself, left a great tip (cash) for her and I know one of my friends did too. We will be back!Added bonus is that dogs are allowed on the patio and are even given water and a treat! Niko will be there on the motorcycle this spring/summer!

This is a Coon Rapids staple!! It's a real small local bar and usually is pretty packed after 4:00pm. I recommend ANY of the burgers, and YES you want the tots. The burgers take awhile because they are made fresh. The tots are always crispy and soooo much better than home tots... I don't know why! It can be a little loud because it's small and packs up pretty quickly. If you're in the area and want a delicious burger look no further.. this is your place.
