Oh wow! Best butter croissant I have ever had! The strawberry cream cheese danish was out of this world (also the best I've ever had)! The staff were kind, helpful and charming. We'll definitely be back! West 3rd Street location.

Duluths Best Bread is hands-down the best bread in the city. And Ann at the Hart location is amazing - even though it wasn't on the menu, she cut me a slice of bread and toasted it and it convinced me to buy the whole loaf. Highly encourage toast options on the menu from now on!

We have loved all the delicious treats over the years! Anne was so kind and we can’t wait to try the big pretzel! Macarons are delicious as always! Stopped in to the downtown location last week and the staff and aesthetic was a 10/10.

If you like stale, over priced croissants, this is your place! I ordered 2 chocolate croissants and a nutella croissant. Lady at the counter was so all over the place. She was blabbing on about having to change gloves for anything with nuts. She was going on and on about other flavors, but I already told her what I wanted. She grabbed two almond croissants after I told her I wanted chocolate. I had to correct her twice. She said she must be a nut… obviously true. She then grabbed two chocolate croissants and still somehow boxed the almond for me. I was already gone by the time I realized she gave me the wrong items. So I finally got to try them. They were so hard! They tasted like they were at least 2 days old. They crunched like potato chips and were not flaky or fresh. Would NOT recommend this place. Very disappointed.

COFFEE only. We know your croissants are the bomb but, lets talk about the coffee downtown. Please don't charge over 7 bucks for a specialty coffee drink that was not worth it. It was not served hot. I don't mean burn your mouth hot just the optimum hot temp. coffee should be when they make it for you. It wasn't busy but, really took some time for her to make it. Maybe she was new at it but, maybe should have had a more experienced person shadowing. Coffee is not something I drink everyday or even every week. So, was really looking forward to a killer cup.I will continue going to your friends down the street. They specialize in it and it's consistent.

Stopped by this bakery while passing through Duluth. WOW! Amazing. I've tried different breads on three continents -- this is the best. No question. It is my considered belief that this bread should be shipped into psych wards and given to patients with untreatable depression. No one could possibly eat a slice, lightly toasted with real butter, and still believe that they have nothing to look forward to in life.
We reserved a loaf of cardamom bread for pickup on Christmas Eve. This was to replace the cardamom loaf traditionally made every year by our Swedish grandmother, who is turning 87 on Christmas Eve and is not up to making it herself. When we arrived to pick it up, we were told it had been sold. I'm sure the bread is wonderful but please be clear with customers about what is required to reserve a loaf in advance. If we had known our order could not be fulfilled, we would have gone elsewhere. By the time we learned there was no bread available, it was too late and we are without a staple of our Christmas Eve tradition and a birthday gift to our grandmother.
