It was a busy night at Hanabi. We ordered our food a few sushi rolls and a teriyaki beef dish. Within 20 mins we received our sushi rolls for a couple of our meals and was told that the teriyaki beef was going to be a little longer as the kitchen was backed up, the waitress offered us a free dessert due to the wait.Well that little longer wait was a 35 min. and when we finally received the food it was cold the meat was cooked through but it was all cold the veggies, the meat and the rice. I guess I thought the food should be hot coming fresh out of the kitchen. Needless to say I'm not impressed. Worst experience I've had here and will not be returning.

This is my husband and I’s favorite Japanese place in Duluth! It’s amazing and the food never disappoints. Happy hour has the best deals and we can always try something new for a decent price.We love the sushi, fried rice, habachi, gyoza, and the rolls!I also want to thank the staff, they provide speedy service and are happy to make suggestions.Hanabi is a spectacular spot to dine in Duluth and I look forward to going back ??
Just be advised, the oyster appetizer is pre shucked and placed on shells. Good, but just fyi.Their “Omakase” is just a selection of nigiri and sashimi instead of the traditional individual chefs choice items you may be used to. Standard pieces without any special versions.Decent sushi and neat place though! $80 plus tip for 1 person eating and 2 people drinking 1 drink a piece.

My family and I had a delightful experience at this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. We were seated right away and the ambiance is lovely. Beautiful artwork on the walls.The service is incredible! Our server was Will, and honestly I think he was hosting and serving the entire restaurant - and he was NAILING IT. So friendly and sweet, wildly efficient, and obviously cared about our experience. Such a gem.I highly recommend this restaurant! Do yourself a favor and get the Tako yaki.
