I was surprised to find that this Perkins is as wonderful as it is. Friendly staff, clean, prompt service, and exceptional food for a chain restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Staff is overworked, underpaid, and under stafed. The guy that served us had already worked his shift for the day and was pulling another shift. He was the only server and was running around all over the place. He did an amazing job. Perkins is hiring for all positions.

This morning the wife and I decided to have a breakfast date and were wondering where to go for food. I saw that a Perkins was open and I couldn't wait to go. Multiple locations for Perkins were shut down and I thought that this was one of them but here they are! It's a busy Sunday morning but we did not have to wait long for a table for my wife, Cassie and our daughter, Piper, and I. As we sat waiting for hot teas and waters we noticed that the restaurant was in need of much needed house keeping. The air vents, picture frames, and ceiling fans were all caked with dust and grime, one of which sat right above our table. The high chair our daughter was in was dirty so we took a baby wipe and cleaned it before sitting her down, and there was even food on the floor under our table. My wife ordered a veggie with Hashbrowns, and I ordered the tremendous twelve with bacon and breakfast potatoes with a side of ranch dressing. When our server came back my wife instead was given her omelette with breakfast potatoes, mine was great, just no ranch dressing, and the most important thing we had to ask for after he asked "would you like anything else" yes! Silverware and the ranch dressing. My wife decided not to even mention the mistake on the Hashbrowns. The breakfast potatoes were done to perfection, perfect crunch on the outside, soft potatoe goodness in the middle. The service from Rick was really great overall. Made sure we were still doing well until the check at the end. I think it would be more worth it to order food for pickup than go somewhere else, but until this place is cleaned up I would not want our family to eat here. Very good food; friendly, weight staff; restaurant is very clean. The location is perfect as there is an unobstructed view of Lake superior. I arrived early this morning and watched a stunning sunrise – nothing goes better with breakfast!

Pie slices were frozen solid, cookies were incredibly dry, and French toast seemed lacking, as we got a single piece of bread cut in half for $7.Fried Pickles tasted ok.
