I ordered online aware tibs and vegetable somosa. I got texts confirming. I went in and they asked if I had an online order and how many items, I say 2 and they give me the bag. I get home and it is the wrong item, so I call and they said they show I ordered something different. I went back to the restaurant to show my receipts and confirmation texts and they said they didn’t receive it and if I wanted the food to pay for it again and file a card dispute because who I ordered it through was a scam. Fine whatever, they could’ve said instead of trying to contact whoever had the order I picked up. Then they have the audacity when I go to pay TWICE for my meal to say make sure the card you give me is good and won’t bounce back as if I just don’t have the money for my food. I used to enjoy this place, but being treated like that… I will never come here again.

Good food and plentiful. We had a large veggie/meat platter for 5. I took home leftovers and had two more meals. We did not try many beverages. We ran out of time, for our schedule. Found out that "Injera" ,the Ethiopian spongy bread,is made from teff, and is gluten free!! That was a plus, as one guest has gluten issues!!Vegetarian options: Menu is online, also.Parking: This place is near Target in Eagan, across the street from EMagine Theater. We had trouble following the Google map directions. It's next to/ near the Dollar Store. All are north of Cliff Road. Easy to get to, actually.

What a horrifying experience. I ordered food for take-out, and when I got there, the wonderful atmosphere and aroma made me wish I was eating there instead. After a torturous full two minutes of waiting, I brought the food to my car, only to discover something even more horrifying—in that confined space, the delightful smells were amplified beyond what anyone should be expected to endure. Sodere is fully responsible for all damages caused by my drooling on the way home.Update: I ate one sambusa at a stoplight. One should never sambusa-and-drive, but I’m happy to report that I made it out deliciously alive.Update #2: I’m eating the injera and veggie combo, and I’m transported to a wonderful world of spice where not even the traumatic car-ride of delicious smells can hold me down. You got me good, Sodere. Take all the stars.

I ordered the lamb tibs and beef sambusa. It was delivery and everything was packed perfectly. The tibs were a little salty for me but I know my father would love it. Everything was seasoned very well. I am happy to find such a nice spot near me. With delivery, they also included plenty of injera bread.

Nice staff, OK food, but service was very slow. Dining area was smokey and I have asthma. Wine was $13/glass. I won't go back.

Sodere has a very nice atmosphere and vibe and makes you feel like you are just like in a restaurant back in Ethiopia. On the other hand the service wasn’t really that good, passing the food to the person instead of putting it on the table isn’t really respectful in my opinion. On top of that manners and attitude, I believe that waiters should be excited and energetic to take orders and give service which they weren’t really doing in addition to that the waiters should have been coming every now and then to check if people want more things or if everything is going good and are enjoying the food which they were also not doing so that should improve too. One more thing is the food, the smell and the look of the food looks exciting but the taste is kind of disappointing which isn’t nice. And lastly waiting more than 30 minutes to pay for the bill isn’t okay . For example the kitfo wasn’t as great and was disappointing because most habeshas love kitfo. Sodere can do much better .Vegetarian options: Just need more options
