Sushi, Lemongrass Clam Chowder, and the Wedge Salad are my usuals but this time I ordered the Salmon Piccata and it blew me away. Perfectly mid-rare salmon (as requested) atop linguine tossed with lemon oil, asparagus, roasted tomatoes and finished with a white wine butter sauce and fried capers. I was in heaven. The linguine was just right and the salmon meaty and moist. I can't stand overcooked salmon and Crave does not disappoint. Of course, I got a Wedge Salad, this time topped with grilled chicken, for the next day. ;-)

The food, while overpriced, was tasty enough. We had the edamame appetizer that had some sort of sticky, slightly spicy sauce on it, which I found unnecessary but alright. Our entrees were good-- my cousin got a bowl of some sort and I got a the red quinoa and salmon salad. I enjoyed the flavors except for the flavorless, giant mound of quinoa. I'd probably order something else next time. We had reservations, so I was not expecting to be seated right next to the kitchen and service area, and servers kept slamming into my cousin as she rounded the corner. (Not bumping, but slamming into her).

My husband and I went to this location 3 days ago before we went to see a show in downtown Minneapolis. We've been here a few times before and things have been pretty good. This experience was not. We were seated at a table that had a chair on one side and a booth seat on the other. The entire length of the seat on the booth side was completely ripped. This rip started at our table and went all the way down the length of two other tables. You would think at a pretty decent restaurant downtown, they would take the time to repair something like this. Moving onto our horrible service, we were seated and given two waters. Our waiter came and asked me directly if I wanted another drink, and I asked him politely for a lemon for my water. He turned around and walked away before my husband had to stop him to ask for his drink . The drink was delivered by a member of the bar staff. Our waiter eventually came back to take our order, forgetting the lemon. We ordered our food. Our appetizer came immediately followed by our entrées normally, in a nicer restaurant they will time things a little bit better than this. When I gave the individual who delivered our food, a strange look, he replied, with "our kitchen is fast here". Great but if that's the case, you would think that they would space the ordering of the appetizer and the entrée a little bit better so they don't come out at literally the exact same time. Our sever did not come to our table to make sure our food was ok and to ask if we needed anything. I still had not received my only request, which was the dang lemon for my water. While we were eating, my husband pointed out a bug next to me on the wall. I turned to see a cockroach climbing up the wall next to my seat. I can say that I have never encountered a cockroach in a restaurant in Minnesota, let alone a nicer restaurant in Minneapolis. Having a cockroach crawling up the wall of the dining room makes me question what it's like in the kitchen where they are preparing our food. Finally, when we were almost finished with our food, the waiter finally showed up bringing my lemon. And the check. The only times we saw our waiter during our evening were when he took our drink order and dinner order, and then to bring the lemon and the check. I would expect service like this at a restaurant similar to Applebee's or Chili's but not at a restaurant in downtown Minneapolis with the cheapest entree being $30 a plate. The combination of the subpar service, cockroaches, ripped seating, and mediocre food made it so that we will certainly not be returning to this place. With a lot of restaurants closing in Minneapolis, I would expect that they would be trying to keep customers. If you are looking for a place to go to dinner before a show, or really anytime, please do not go to this place. The food is average, service horrible, and cleanliness questionable.

It's been a long time, but when I was down here Christmas shopping the other day, as always, I found things that I couldn't leave without. They always have the most random and delightful kitchen gadgets, and it is always hard to gift them away when the time comes.

my family recently dined at this establishment with high hopes for a vegan dining experience that could rival those enjoyed by our non-vegan counterparts. Unfortunately, what we received was nothing short of disappointing. Our 'poke bowl' was uninspiring, overpriced, and underwhelming, with the only discernible flavor being the soy sauce we added in an attempt to salvage the meal. To make matters worse, the tasteless raw tofu chunks on top did little to redeem the dish. Prior to this culinary letdown, we were mistakenly served the non-vegan version of the meal. Instead of a sincere apology, our server offered a half-hearted sorry, failed to comp the incorrect dish, and displayed a nonchalant attitude while we anxiously waited for our corrected order. This experience was particularly frustrating as we were dining with our two young children. Adding to our disappointment was the utter lack of a single vegan option on the kids' menu. It's disheartening to spend $20 on a vegan burger for a child, and the price skyrockets to $22 if you desire a vegan bun, or a whopping $24 for vegan cheese. Such pricing feels excessive and inconsiderate. As for the ambiance, it's no surprise that the restaurant was nearly empty, but at least it provided a quiet atmosphere. However, a quick trip to the bathroom revealed a different story. The carpet desperately needed vacuuming, there was toilet paper on the floor in the restroom, and the sinks were in dire need of a thorough scrub. In summary, my dining experience at this restaurant left me deeply unsatisfied. For vegans seeking a flavorful and enjoyable meal, I would recommend looking elsewhere, as this establishment falls short on both culinary delight and overall customer experience.

Arrived at 8:39 on a Friday night for some dinner before our movie. We're told the kitchen closes at 8:30. It's a Friday night! Who closes this early!! So over all these Minnesota restaurants that close so freaking early!

They have a great selection of kitchen products. I found exactly what I was looking for and I have shopped at every store of this kind without success. They are not lacking inventory either. I will be going back.

Stopped here since we were at the mall. The staff was extremely helpful. I was able to find a couple of things I have been meaning to buy with their help. I was also able to find some dinosaur and butterfly cookie cutters for the kids. They've been on my list forever. If I was closer to this store I would definitely make it one of my go to places. However, I will be back when I'm in the area. Thank you!

We love to eat at Crave ... always start with Firecracker Shrimp and then on to delicious entrees and scrumptious desserts. Love to enjoy the Manhattan and others appreciate the non-alcoholic specialty drinks! Yes, earned Rewards keep on coming!

Food was good, but nothing too special. We ordered chicken salad and sushi. I love sushi and I had them often enough that I'll say you can get them anywhere else for half the price from Crave. We were also surprised that they added surcharge for the kitchen helper. That sjould be the company's responsibility to pay them enough for their service. Consumers should have a choice if they want to give extra tip for all the helpers aside for the tip to wait staff.

Came in for a quick "happy hour" but a few too many surprises. Surprise 1: Bartender leaned over my menu with his big elbows as I tried to peruse the menu. A little too close, give me a minute (place was almost empty, no need to rush the customer) .Surprise # 2, almost no appies under $15 tho you do get $2-4 off @ happy hour (supposedly, see later remarks) but still somewhat steep. Surprise # 3, food was good, wine OK but get the tab & there's a $4.95 "surcharge" on less than a $30 tab, no explanation why & oh,I paid cash?!$ So it wasn't for using cc. Plus had to wait more than 10 mins for tab to be picked up with (gasp) just 4 other customers @ the bar. Wasn't willing to wait another 15 mins for some vague explanation. No thanks, I'll not be back, don't care if I was the wrong age/sex/whatever for this server to be their favorite customer, & I am reasonably friendly, will NOT return for more unexplained "mystery charges" on a tab. Good luck! Had no other choice but to take the mystery charge out of the mystery servers tip as he was so AWOL in a Not at all busy environment (Monday, duh). If this had been my only MN experience would've thought the state & this establishment are no good. Steer clear

The mushroom fettuccini was the most lackluster pasta dish I've ever encountered. One mushroom in the entire bowl, and it was supposed to have carmelized onion and asparagus with a sherry / mornay sauce - Nope. It literally tasted like buttered noodles you would order from the kids menu. I probably would have complained but no one ever came back to our table until it was time to get the check.

Even when they aren't busy the staff basically ignores potential customers. The products are great though. They must get a lot of window shoppers.
