So glad they closed down! The only time they had good food was when they first opened. Last time I tried chow the server was so incredibly rude. Pay your employees a living wage and maybe you wouldn't have to close!!!!

Been a long standing customer for years. I have a feeling something is up, menu has shrunk, no seasonal changes like they originally had.(this is what made me love this place originally). Very limited hours. Average service. Seems like they gave up trying. Why is it Maynards is always jam packed, yet they have competition close by? I really hope things change fast! We need restaurants like this in the Elk River/Big Lake area...

We were one of 3 tables filled at 5:30pm. It’s no wonder this place struggles to get people in the door with a happy hour that ends at 5 (even though it’s only $1 off drinks… seriously? Why even bother?) and limited, expensive menu. We regretted coming here. Won’t be back.

The staff was friendly and helpful in giving us dinner options. The menu has some unique options I've never tried. I was pleased with the smoked chicken. I am not sure I've seen a restaurant this immaculate. Our family had a good time and left filling full filed. We will come back soon!

Server and host were pleasant and the restaurant itself was clean. Unfortunately the overall service was slow, the food was mediocre especially for the price, and menu options very limited. I saw two parties get up and leave when they weren’t greeted or contacted after being kk seated. It took 15+ mins to get our drinks and the bar was empty. I understand there are staffing shortages but the place was prob at 30% capacity at most. Overall less than average experience for the price point.

Just excellent food, and fun drinks. A significant step above the suburban chains we all know well. We are very lucky to have this AND Tipsy Chicken in Elk River! Go support them!

Chow was a big disappointment. They have reduced their menu to essentially 3 entrees. If you go on a Sat. Night, don’t be looking for Prime Rib because that’s only on Fridays. What?We used to go there for their brisket and bbq. No brisket..no BBQ on the menu. It has Bbq in its name for Cripes sake! When I talked to manager she said their food truck serves both of these but none in the restaurant. It is like you are a second class citizen if you go in Chow to eat. What? This may be the reason that on a Sat. Evening, there was only 4 tables with customers. We will not be going back to Chow unless they make some big changes. Big disappointment!
Dined at Chow for the first time last night and I have never had worse service at a restaurant before. The inattentiveness of our server was shocking. In the middle of placing our initial drink order for four people she walked away with only getting three of our drink orders. Barely checked back during our time there with having to flag her down multiple times to place additional drink orders. Did not place the correct side orders for our meals. It was a very unenjoyable experience. We would be hard pressed to ever go back again.

Unfortunately Chow is not what it use to be. The previous menu when they originally started based off the catering business that was fabulous is no longer in existence. If you want pizza or a burger you can go here.If you want good ribs, brisket, pasta, and more of a fine dining relaxed atmosphere try the cities. Chow was highly disappointing from what they once were, today was a sad day for the restaurant industry yet again in Elk River.

I liked it.Food had visual flare and good flavors. Pretty fair portions for the pricing.Huge blemish - the online menu wasn't offered for Saturday dinner 450-5pm seating. They had about half the menu from online - and it didn't offer their French dip that I truly wanted.

The steak we had was so good! The atmosphere is great and the service good. They have amazing cocktails and as I said, the ribeye is a must try! We will be back for sure!

Very good experience. The chicken wings were perfect and the frys were fantastic! Cheese curds also to die for. Would recommend to anyone. The owner is also very friendly and personable and made sure our food was good. Thanks!
